I didn't think you were that good, and we should have scored more, the penalty was a penalty (number 2 attacking our number 10 of the ball) and the ref wasn't bad today, BTW 4-1 means we were 3 goals better than you so ner!

Sutton won 4 -1, yes. But if you really think you were genuinely 3 goals better than us then you need to watch a little more football, maybe read a book or two and open your fecking eyes when you go into the ground.

The ref was piss poor - listening more to the crowd than watching the game. At the end your defence was looking really dodgy against a ten man team made up of some young, inexperienced players. With Pape in goal it was always gonna be difficult, but 2-1 at half time was a fairer reflection.

Yes you were better than us, but you ain't that good and bet you get turned over by Braintree at least once.

I agree with most of you comments Robsey (but then I do have rose tinted glasses )

2-1 was just about a fair reflection at half time and I felt that we were always in it until the sending off and THAT penalty but now we will never know....

Still, no footie this mid-week so players have time to recover for the six-pointer at Hampton on saturday....

I thought we deserved to win, we should have been more than 2-1 at half-time, second half, i thought you would get an equaliser untill your number 2 commited GBH on Mark Watson (if he hadn't been fouled he would have hit your number 2. He didn't) Also i think our number 7 & 9 were clearly the best player's on the pitch. The average age of the team is about 23, and one of our subs has a broken foot, as well as being 17. From where i was (with the majority of the 'crowd') behind the Sutton goal, 4-1 maybe wasn't fair (especially on you goalie) but we probably deserved it overall.

1st point,
You didnt think we were that good, ok fair enough, but remember that we were a FEW players short AND the team that played sat haven't played together for two weeks!!!

2nd point,
our 2 attacking your 10!!!! yes he did kick out but only after your 10 stamped on him!!!! both should have been sent off!! As for the penalty how can the ref blow up for it and give it when he was running the other way and didnt see it!! When he spoke to the lineo he sent him off! BUT when the lineo was down our end I asked when their was a stop in play why the ref give it and what he saw he said and i quote "I didnt see it, and he wasnt sent off for the anythig to do with that incident!" So if thats the case WHY was he sent off? And a penalty given?

Point 3,
The ref was almost the worst ref I have seen for almost two seasons now! Even Andy pape said and again I quote "this three are the worst w**kers I have ever seen in my playing days" and we know Andy he tells it like it is!

so Mr jared(sufc) before you make a post like that again I would say this to you, TRY TO WATCH THE GAME OF FOOTBALL AND DONT TALK CR*P!!!

i surprised Papey said that, since we've seen alot worse at GGL this season. There is also a difference between accident and deliberate

I was a bit but there was four people who will back me up on that. It didnt look like an accident from our end thats all I will say. The qustion still stands though WHY did he get sent of and not your 10 as well??

I think the reason why Mark Watson didn't get sent off was because the number 2 (who was a good player) got in the way just as he connected with the ball. After that number 2 attacked Mark Watson, stamping on him, when the ball was in play elsewhere, getting himself hurt in the process. So from where i was it was a penalty and a red card for number 2 and another case of accidental error from Mark, as i said this was from my perpective behind the goal, and i'm sure other Sutton fans agree

The goal post must have obscured your view. It was clear from my angle that Waldron went in hard with a blocking tackle, that the ref thought was ok.While both players were down Watson lashed out with his studs and Waldron retaliated. Who got up first and walked away, Watson. Who limped off after the Ref was influenced by the crowd to red card him, Waldron.
The Ref had a full on view of the tackle, he was running away from that when the crowd reaction behind the goal caught his attention. He was wrong to give a penalty when he had moved the game on and he was wrong to show any cards for an incident he did not see while relying on crowd reaction.
Only a fortnight ago at Braintree the ref blew his whistle during play for a foul, and when all the players stopped he waved play on !! This is just another example of the poor standard of refereeing we are witnessing at the moment.

I agree ref's in this league are crap, i thought Saturday's ref was brave in making that decsion (he had blown for a foul as soon as the incident happened pointing to the spot, so saying pressure from the crowd led to the penalty is unfair, however i think some of our supporters had an influence in getting number 2 the red card, i just wanted to see him treated off the pitch as he was holding up play. Incidently i was right behid that incident and did not see Watson hit number 2

From where I stood, it looked like Waldron & Watson both went for a 50-50 just inside the box, the ball broke loose and as Watson untangled himself and got to his feet, Waldron kicked out. Now whether he thought Watson had gone in unfairly, I dunno, but the ref thought there was nothing wrong with the initial challenge.

As for the ref being nowhere near the incident as one guy above claims, he was no more than 10 yards away, directly in line with a completely unobstructed view! Unfortunately he chose to look over at the two previously grounded players (possibilty of an injury he thought??) just as Waldron lashed out. The ref saw perfectly well what happened. So he consulted his linesmen? Why not? Thats what they're there for. Makes a change from the usual non-decision or immediate overreaction we get from Ryman refs!

The way I saw it, it was a totally pointless act by your bloke, 'cos at that point you were by no means out of the game. Cost you a good chance of getting at least a point.

Ok, the ref wasn't great, but he was a shiteload better than 90% of the incompetent muppets we've seen this season. As for Papey commenting they were the worst he'd ever seen, I'd like to know what games he's been watching in the last few weeks! Compared to the morons we had at Bedford and at home to Hendon the other week, this guy was world-class!

As for the crowd helping make the ref's mind up......
Apart from that, Waldron had played well (one of the better defenders we've seen this year) and the number 10 was a tricky little sod!

Hope you lot find your way home soon. Boreham Wood twice every season is starting to get a bit tiresome!
