WINGATE & FINCHLEY 0-3 ENFIELD

Team, 1 Steve wright 2 mark whittington 3 michael spencer 4 Nick Turner 5 Wes Borghys 6 paul oshin 7 curtis Johnson 8 lee allinson 9 Marlon Stuart 10 Danny Gabriel 11 Sherwin Stanley. Subs 12 Kevin Kilroy 14 sam judge ,15 Grant osbourne,16 warren Leader ,GK Rob Munn.

A very bright start for enfield and on 3 mins with the opening attack lee allinsons cross was headed into the path of wes Borghys who volleyed home from the edge of the 6 yard box. W & F came back into it and a shot from paul linger went wide. A spell of pressure from W&F came to nothing as Es defenders were looking quite comfortable . On 26mins it was 2-0 Marlon stuart's good work set danny gabriel away although Guy morris looked favorite to clear but danny got clear of him and rolled his shot past the irate Ed Thompson. W&F again had a spell of pressure but created very little But a free header by Adam stolerman went just over Steve wrights bar. At the other end a clear back pass by Guy Morris was picked up by Thompson only for Mr Belbin to wave play on ??. A free kick 30 yards out by craig ellis almost caught steve wright out but he saved well low to his left. In the second half Danny Gabriel was put clear down the left with a 40 yard run but he put his effort over. Sherwin stanley also put over a pin point cross and marlon stuarts header just went over the bar.55mins in and an astonishing miss by Jirka Houdek a mistake by sherwin stanley and a cross was put wide with Houdek with his hands on his head in dispair On 57 mins it was 3-0 Sammy judge's cross was inch perfect for paul oshin to head home. From this moment it was mostly Wingate and finchley doing all the attacking with several efforts being dealt with by wright none of which troubled him that much. But an attempted lob by ellis almost caugh wright off his line and he managed to tip over the bar, On 79 mins another absolute howler of a miss this time from dean williams blazing over from just 2 yards. A long ranger from ellis went wide in the dying moments that was about it. A first class effort from everyone. A great performance from nick Turner.
