Hereford/Stevenage

Big weekend coming up (isn't every weekend big?), so let's get your thoughts and predictions...

Personally I think we'll be lucky if we get anything from Hereford. I can see us losing after yet another poor display and dropping a place in table. I just hope that I'm wrong and we muller them. We need a victory, 'cause it'd do wonders for our morale, which must be getting really low lately.

As for Stevenage, I always feel we can beat them. I've got a slight axe to grind with them too, so it's nice when we beat them. I reckon a 0-2 scoreline will suffice, playing attractive, attacking football like we always have done.

Six points would be just fantastic and easily our best double since Grays. I know I'll sleep a bit easier if we get 3 or 4, but six would push us right away from danger, as I see it.

I feel we will perform better against these two, as we always seem to play better against better opposition. Teams that get the ball down and play football allow us to do the same, and that is where we are strongest.

Both difficult games.

As I said, at the moment we are going through a tough patch and I would have been pleased with a point at Southport - anything from these two games would be great.

It just saddens me that some of that attacking flair we had in the Ryman has dried up and we now struggle in the final third or spend so much time in the build up we lose posession. Personally at the moment beggers can't be chosers and if we hoof the ball and gain some points rather than playing it on the floor then so be it.

If the defence can gel after their little shuffle around and we keep it a clean sheet then we always have the potential to gain a point or sneak three (please!)

I remember two seasons ago we played Thurrock in the first game of the season and found ourselves 0-3 at half time. We came back to win 4-3 and absolutely blew them away in the process. Can anybody actually seeing us do that now? We used to be able to come back from goals behind, but other than at Aldershot, have we done it this, or even last season?

We have come back from going behind, but not very often I must admit. I can recall we did at Woking and Hereford to draw 1-1, and at Forest Green to win 2-1, and twice against Aldershot to win and draw.

And of course against Grays at our place <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Think you will find we were 4-0 up in that game and ended up hanging on for a win.

We were 3-0 to Dover in the same season and cameback and won 4-3.

Oh. I could've sworn it was Thurrock we overhauled. Although I do remember being at a Dover game as well, so I don't know.

The Dover game was fantastic! I was a steward that day as they were short for numbers. When Boylan scored the pen to make it 3-3 I was trying to move all the kids from behind the goal hurling abuse towards the keeper. However, when Minton scored the 4th I was hanging over the hoardings going mental - double standards I know but I got a bit carried away!

That Dover game was amazing. Was nearly on the pitch myself celebrating!!!

We also came back from a goal down against Southport at home to win.
