I have spoken to a few people now (admittingly they do not support Hereford United) and they all think that tommorows game will end up in a draw.

However after tonights game (Gravesend vs Accrington Stanley) which finnished with a Stanley win, Hereford MUST win this game against you.

We are now fourteen pointsoff Accrington Stanley at the top and we must stay as close as we can to them and pray that at some stage, they will slip up.

I think both teams will go out with a huge amount of addreneline (spelling?) and i believe that there will be many yellow cards and one red...now im hoping all of that heads your way.

Well done to them as well. I said back at the beginning of the season that they would win it when everyone was saying that Grays were gonna win it.

They are genuinely a hard working team with great fans who actually deserve to win it unlike those wan*ers down at Chavtown!

Remember those dic*head fans saying that it was all sewn up and the insults about how we would be relegated and that they would be playing league football.

Doesn't really look like it now, does it?

Back to today and i think if we pull our finger out this week we should get a point. 1-1 Draw sounds good to me against a team like Hereford. I dont think Jeff will be too happy with the lads after last week so i think the lads will really make an effort today.

COME ON YOU YELLOWS!

We all know how that feels, but I'm sure it was an accident, (I haven't seen it yet myself but seeing as none of our players were booked today, perhaps the ref felt the same.)

Sounds like the same injury that has kept Lee Boylan out for two months.

What's making it worse though is that ConfGuide's resident Moron, Park'abull keeps bleating on and twisting it in every other thread on your forum.

It was a 50/50 ball that both Kennedy and Stansfield tried to head. Nothing more sinister than that and anybody who tries to make more of the situation is simply being mischievious.

Awful injury for any player and the collective Canvey best wishes go to Stansfield. We've been there; Lee Boylan still wears the T-shirt.

Much better performance today, did not play fantastic but we semmed more up for it.

I would like to have seen Ize swapped for taite in the last 20.

I think we should have and could have nicked, it. Mario was dissapointing, McKinney looked nervous Duffers looks good when he pins back the defenders instead of inviting them on to him. He should do the overlap more.

They were a good side though.

Very entertaining game at times.

BBC Hereford & Worcester have reported that Adam Stansfield has a depressed fracture to the cheek bone and a possible hairline fracture to his eye socket.

Parka Bull :-| I dont think many Hereford United fans like him...lol...but dont quot me on that, i believe he is banned from the Official Forum.

I think most Hereford United fans just have to laugh at him really. If we back him its only because he is one of us, lol

Anyhow, wel done on getting the point from us today. I think Accrington have now won the league, i cannot now see nybody getting near them.

What with two games in hand....if they win both of them this season is as good as Accy's. Anyhow well done again and it was nice to talk to Canvey fansat this stage.

I might pop on now and again.

Thanks

Tom M.

A very good point today against one of the best teams in the League. The sending off did change the game and gave us more of a chance to push forward but we didnt look like scoring(oh for having Lee Boylan back). Two fantastic saves from McKinney kept us in the game he looks set for an extended run.

All the best too Adam Stansfield noone lifes to see players get seriously injured.

lets hope we can at least get a point at Stevenage on Tuesday and beat Crawley next week.

Mario was dissapointing...

Whilst I agree that Mario was just a bit disappointing, that only applies to his finishing, He had too many shots that ended up in the car park. But don’t knock the guy for being one of the few Canvey players to show passion and a degree of creativity. He wanted to go forward and badly needed someone along the front line who shared his attacking aspirations.

Wasn’t it great to see Greggers up front today? Playing alongside Ibe you saw the difference between a striker who knows exactly what needs to be done, which balls to go for and how to put a defender under pressure and a striker who used to be good at his last club but can’t quite find the commitment to his new one. What a shame Greggers was taken off towards the end of the game but, being 85 years old, I guess he was tiring just a tad.

Brave decision to drop Minton today. Did we miss him? Not from my angle. When he was eventually brought on as substitute it meant that we lost Mario’s creativity (God, how we need creativity at the moment; there is more to football than lump it and hope), Clarke went wide (where he is at his worst) but we gained nothing up front.

Didn’t quite understand the MOM award to JK. He was disappointing today (what do you expect – he was asked to play a central role instead of wide where he is at his best) and for my money at least, the award should have gone to Ben Sedgemore who gave 110% and was really trying to create a midfield presence.

Final note: the Canvey defence is so unsteady that as soon as we are under the cosh, we put 11 men into defence. Result? When we do break everyone is back in their own half and there is nowhere for the attack to go.

Final final note: Please can we play against 10 men every week? Best entertainment at Park Lane for a long time.

Alex Jeannin is a bloody tit, if there is one Hereford United player i dislike it s Alex Jeannin.

As soon as he signed and i saw a picture of him i knew he would be a dirty git. He has no discipline.

What with something like 6 or 7 yellows and one red card so far this season. I wish we would have Michael Rose back.

I actually thought that Mario was a MOTM contender. He caused havoc everytime he ran with the ball, very much taking a leaf out of Kilo's book. He did have a lot of tame shots, but that is only because he had a lot of shots full stop. How many times have we watched a match and said we looked frightend to shoot?

Overall I was very happy with the reaction by the players today after Southport. I particularly though Noto and McGhee were excellent. Nice to see Greggors back and scoring, I did think I'd be saying that before the match!!

A good effort by the Yellow Army as well, especially after being bolstered by a few Stanley Ultras who stopped over from their game against Gravesend last night to support us against their nearest rivals. I'm sure they went home very happy!

This is something I think we should remember - Hereford were 2nd in the league. That makes today an excellent result and one that will hopefully get our season back on track!

A far better performance today but didn't rate Hereford as much as Accrington - can't see anyone catching Accrington now.

Well there seems to be a few different names for a man of the match, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but for me it had to be McGhee - strong in the tackle and read the game very well today.

Hope Adam Stansfield makes a quick recovery - he looked extremely useful making runs, and nearly latching onto quite a few through balls - reminded me of Lee.

It was nice to see a few players have a pop at goal this afternoon including Mario - this has been sadly lacking recently. Keeling gave us a bit of width and pace and got the ball into the danger area on a number of occassions.

It was good to see Gregors get a run out and what I really noticed and admired about him today(a point I think Merv touches on) is that when he was playing nearer the middle and the ball came through, he showed "simple" vision and a quick ball - he didn't over complicate things and read what the other players were going to do - he didn't try and over complicate the pass, play anybody into trouble or try and do something flash that the other players just didn't "read". He kept it quick and simple and unlike or midfield in some previous games he wasn't really caught in posession. Personally I think we looked a little unsettled again and took a little bit of time to settle once the substitutions were made this afternoon.

Another tough game on Tuesday night but I do feel a tad more confident about getting something from the game - something I didn't perhaps feel a few weeks ago.

Maybe we should drop Greggors into a holding midfield roll, where paice isnt needed and he can put a foot on the ball and give it a knock.

I watched a different Mario to some of you today, to many mistakes and no end product.

It is all about opinions.

Good team performance today and as has been said above a good reaction to last weeks defeat. I doubt any of us could have predicted the team but everyone selected rolled up their sleeves and got on with their job.

Best wishes to Adam Stansfield, hopefully he will make a full recovery and be available for Hereford in the play-offs.

Not sure why Ray Cross is making an appearance on the BBC website ?

No disrespect to Greggors or others - but IMHO if we feel we need that sort of midfielder then we should be looking at getting someone in to do the perfect job - not putting players into positions which don't justify their talents. Felt we've done a bit to much of that in the past.

As I've said before we should always be looking at improving the quality of the players we have at the club and looking to move forward.
