Uxbridge 2-5 Enfield

Team 1 paul Daley, 2 mark whittington 3 michael spencer, 4 Nick Turner ,5 Wesley Borghys, 7 Curtis Johnson,8 Lee allinson,9 marlon stuart,10 danny Gabriel, 11 sherwin stanley. Subs 12 kevin kilroy, 14 Grant Osbourne,15 leon Green, 16 Gbenga songa ,Gk Rob Munn.

Steve wright has a back problem and Paul Daley made his debut for E's today ,Also on the bench was Leon Green signed from chesham utd.

A very heavily sanded pitch wasn't goimg to stop Enfield clocking up a 4th away win on the spin today

A very early corner for E's was cleared away and when the ball came back in a few moments later saw a very brave header by danny gabriel that put marlon stuart away and his deft lob over John peacock put E's ahead on 4 mins. A rather crude tackle on sherwin stanley on 11mins by steve walters went unpunished by mr toyer. A shot by uxbridge's Darren whitlock went well over the bar on 14mins. Then a good shout for an E's penalty for a straying hand was waved away by mr Toyer .0n 16 mins a great save by Daley foiling lee Tunnell's effort low to his left. A free kick out on the right for uxbridge saw them equalise on 17 mins stuart Bamford getting the better of turner & borghys to level matters up. On 32 mins a late challenge by paul oshin saw a brawl of a dozen or so players quickly dispelled by mr toyer. soon after E's had the ball in the net but danny gabriels effort was ruled out for offside (A very late flag) Then another good chance for gabriel saw his shot well smothered by john peacock. on 42 mins a good run by sherwin stanley and paul oshins shot went just wide. 44 mins in and a miss by uxbridge's Darren whitlock (not a difficult chance) .Uxbridge started the more aggressive after the break with mark nicholls shooting just over the bar. And on 48 mins a howlling back pass by michael spencer let in lee Tunnell his first effort blocked but no mistake with his second to put the home side in front . Enfield then rolled up their sleeves and dug in and threw caution to the wind and the immediate pressure paid off on 52 mins forcing stuart bamford to lose possession and danny gabriel took full advantage to slot home past the stranded peacock 2-2. E's were going forward much more now and pushing the uxbridge rearguard back and on 63 mins Leon Green's centre was fumbled by peacock and his second attempt to gather presented danny gabriel with the cross for a marlon stuart tap in,much to the delight of the supporters behind the goal. E's were now very rampant and the dominance paid off again on 71 mins a corner from sherwin stanley was missed at the near post by mark weedon and steve walters and paul oshin was on hand to head home to put E's 4-2 up .He was injured by a stray boot in the process. A shot by gabriel was then easily saved by peacock. Then on 83 mins E's wrapped it up when leon Green's corner was headed against the inside of peacocks post by nick Turner and despite peacock's valliant attempt to keep it out mr toyer ruled the ball had crossed the line to put E's emphatically 5-2 up. Another mistake then saw peacock almost gift danny gabriel another but this time he held on to the ball. Danny then had yet another chance but rounding peacock he took the ball too wide and the chance was lost. That was the final moment a very deserved victory against difficult opposition. Att 105

Woah, the Horn is in the picture but is Mr Horn invisable? No wonder opposing keepers get put off that's well freaky!
What a great result E's, that lot tried to kick us off the park in both games & we struggled to handle them, keep it up, a top half finish well within your grasp on present form. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/top.gif" alt="" />

Great photos of the goals and the horn in the pics. I wonder if the papers might snap them up, you should ask for royalties Mr Horn, it would help pay for gas top ups.
