I believe the guy who scored for them on saturday is a lad they have on loan from canvey island ,Lee Jay and he lives in tottenham. I work with his dads mate. Like our side they are very much improved so it could go either way.

If Great Wakering see the goals from Uxbridge with the Horn in the photos, they will be Qakering in their boots.

Good evening gents,

Just so you know Mr Links is no longer the referee for Saturday. Mr Darren Deadman has taken over those responsibilities.

Enfield 0 - 0 Great Wakering Rovers

The last two encounters Between us have yeilded seven goals in each match ,But today was just one of those days for both sides. Enfield were without Flu victim michael spencer , kevin kilroy replaced him & curtis Johnson was missing through work commitments.

Today's side . 1 steve wright,2 mark whittington 3 kevin kilroy, 4 nick Turner,5 wes Borghys, 6 Paul Oshin ,7 Leon Green 8 Lee Allinson 9 Marlon stuart 10 Danny Gabriel 11 sherwin stanley, subs 12 nathan smith,14 Grant osborne, 15 warren Leader,16 Gbenga sonuga.
A very quiet start from both sides the first opening arrived on 13 mins with sherwin stanley's centre but nobody could connect with it. A long drive from range by Dan pitts was miles off target 18 mins, It was pitts again on 21 mins who shot wide again from distance. On 25 mins a great run by Danny Gabriel but good defending by Nick Beale forced him out of play. Soon after a brilliant save by Ashley harrison kept sherwin stanley's stunning drive out. Sherwin had to go off soonafter as he was still suffering from Flu. Nathan smith replaced him. A lucky escape for E's when a neil Richmond effort from a tight angle was cleared off the line by wes Borghys the clearence fell to Steve Butterworth but he shot well off Target , Just before the break wes turned his ankle and was limping badly and was taken off at half time.
The 2nd period saw E's attack first With Danny Gabriel putting marlon stuart away but harrison was quickly off his line to to avert the danger. Good work by leon Green gave a half chance to marlon stuart but his quick turn and shot was well wide. On 62 mins a chance for Ian O'connell at the other end but wright was equal to it. Then a moment of madness between mark whittington and nick Turner presented Neil richmond with an excellant opportuity but somehow he shot just wide(He should have scored) Next real chance fell to paul Oshin But his shot was miles wide, Next chance fell to kevin kilroy from 30 yards but it was closer the the corner flag. 86 mins and wakering almost won it when a shot by richmond was well saved by wright low to his post ( He was unsighted) Another chance for wakering on 87 mins as Dan pitts fired just over. Hardly any stoppage time was added by mr Deadman . Att 112

Todays Raffle winners were 1st Sue Borghys...Scotch
2nd Frank Bailey ..Red Wine
3rd Rachel Hand ..White wine ..Thanks to all who took part.

We was a bit vulnerable when wezzy had to go off .I have to say we was a bit lacklustre today. Nathan had a stinker as well.Warren Leader did O K , Leon Green looks a good signing too.

Bad news Lee Robinson has again agrivated his knee injury and is likely to miss the season. Also Owen Beale has a similar injury and is unlikely to play any more this season.

To my knowledge he hasn't us yet, perhaps he dont like you.
BTW Only mr links has stitched us up with some mind boggling decisions v Aveley . It cost us 3 points . I dont know why he was removed from yesterdays fixture or by whom ,but the decision was understandable

He has been kept in reserve. I did not here you or dad singing yesterday, you will have to come behind the goal next sat for some singing lessons, we want to be in top voice for the big match on Easter Sat. I have at least 20 plus additinal singers coming to the match. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/icon_band222.gif" alt="" />
