A couple of thoughts.

The position today is very grave in the extreme.
However frustrated the supporters are, a meeting on Saturday will only add to the frustration rather than resolve anything. I agree with that getalonggang chap. Wait for news next week. Once there is news, arrange a meeting with proper publicity at a minimum of 7 days notice and there may be a couple of hundred attend. Try to arrange something at 3 days notice after the papers have been published and we might get 50. Arrange a meeting with nothing concrete to discuss and we achieve nothing.
It is perfectly obvious that all current fans and the population of St.Albans will support a 'rescue' of The Club, provided it is mounted by sensible, realistic, properly advised people. If a solution is put forward by ill-advised people, it will almost certainly fail.
I see Lee Harding's posting below. As he knows, it is not as simple as putting down £1 and "trying". After significant professional fees and a great amount of personal time, the concerned fan will understand the problem and the rules of the various authorities that must be met, not to mention the law which must be obeyed. That's all. Then, more fees incurred and more time spent trying to find a solution.
Lee refers to alternative solutions and the advice that he has received. A word of warning to the concerned fan prepared to spend £1 then commit his time and money. As he knows, I have obtained advice from Accountants and Solicitors and my advice is different from his.
The time for "digging in pockets" as The Observer editorial puts it, will come. It's not here yet.
Oh, by the way. I'm still here.
UP THE SAINTS!

Talking of your thoughts AFF, do you think there is any chance of hearing what Gary and Steve have to say on the matter and see if they are prepared to stay around and help us get out of the situation. They've been in this sort of situation before and maybe they have something sensible to say on the natter!! Then again we know what they are like!!
Lol!
