Supporters "Player of the Year"......???

Recommended Posts

With only four more home games remaining before the presentation at our last home fixture with Exeter on 22/4, voting slips will be available from this Saturday for your chance to nominate your choice as Player of the Year.

Last year Jon Keeling polled more votes than all other combined votes with Danny Potter in 2nd place.

Who will it be this year ? You have plenty of time this year to make up your mind.

Any early suggestions.

Would say either Dom Sterling or Ben Sedgemore.

JK and Wardy are possible contenders as well.

I agree, Sedgemore and Sterling have got to be favourites but i also feel Chenery has had a decent season. With 10 games left there`s still time for someone to make a late challenge, especially if they bang in 90th minute match winners every game

Chenners has done really well this season. Thought he had a great game on Saturday.

To be honest i think it'll be a lot closer this year - at the moment for me it's Dominic Sterling - been solid all season.

I know he's not player of the season material but I think some credit should go to McGhee this season. Transfer listed but stuck with the hard graft to secure a first team place - put in some great performances.

I know he has not played a lot of games but early season performances were good, overcoming serious adversity and springing back on the scene with super performance and a match winning goal.

If we do not place our votes for two more weeks, could it be LEE BOYLAN.

John kennedy for me..

He has played Right Back, Right Midfield & Centre Midfield this season which shows what a quality untlity player he is..

You can also always gurantee he will give his all not matter how big or small the game is..

Top Player!

Probably Ben Sedgemore has been consistently Canvey's player of the year this year but I think Steve Ward would be an equally deserving recipient. Having played his 400th game for the club, being solid at the back in virtually every game and the everlasting memory of that wonderful display Wardy gave at Grays will probably give him my vote today.
