Im going 2-1 Canvey, Minton to get the first, Boylan the winner!

Attendance 970..

York are bringing 300 - 350 supporters apparently, so should be a good atmosphere

A tough game very similar to the Hereford match.

1-1 with an attendance of 921.

Yeah, 1-1 too I reckon. Be happy with a point against York to be honest.

We have 2 winners!

I can`t believe that after earning a point against a side who have won their last 6 and almost making our Conference future certain that this forum is so negative <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/mad.gif" alt="" />

Very hard to play football in that wind and i think we were a bit over ran in the 1st half but we were a lot better 2nd half and deserved to level the game.

It was very, very cold.

You are not wrong there !

In over 15 years of filming Non-League football matches from the top of stand roofs, I can honestly say it was probably the worst conditions I have ever had to contend with.
Good job it didn't rain (or snow) !

Did anyone watch the game on the TV's in the bar(s) as it was going on ?
Hope the camerawork was o.k., as I literally got blown off my feet a couple of times !
It was impossible to keep the camera steady up on that gantry.

A fantastic point earned by the lads yesterday. We battled hard and played some good football at times, but the conditions ensured it was more of a scrappy encounter.

Their goal was a good finish, can't help but think that Duffers could have done a bit more to stop the cross. However, the way we reacted to going 1-0 down was exceptional, and we started putting some real pressure on York. Minton & Clarke stood out for me, but Sedgemore was head and shoulders above everyone on the park (including the York players).

Great to see Lee grab another poachers goal, him being back has brought a much more optimistic feel to Park Lane.

Yellow Army were in good voice today, at times as loud as I've heard us this season. Everyone had a good time I hope and will be back for the next home game against Forest Green!

Highlight of the day though was trying to stop Powelly drinking the Tandoori Nights out of Sambuca! All I could hear was "3 - 2 - 1 - Hang on Dave!"

Great performance from the lads. Didn't let our heads drop after we conceded and kept plugging away and got a deserved equaliser.

We didn't create that many chances but we were never going to against a strong York backline. Their keeper made a complete shambles of a corner and Lee was able to pounce.

They took their goal well although Duffers should have got tighter to the guy who put the cross in. Wardy and Macca were excellent, kept Donaldson and Bishop extremely quiet.

As for Sedge, well he was superb and deserved his man of the match award. Rarely gave the ball away, was strong in the tackle and was so unlucky with that sublime chip in the first half that landed on the roof of the net.

Might have nicked one at the end when there was a scramble in the box although York had a few chances.

A good point overall and victory over Scarborough would almost certainly make us safe.
