It occurs to me that, in the long term, the chance of getting a new ground in the Borough for both clubs to share must be enhanced by having teams playing at the highest level possible. Therefore a town win should be an imperative for BOTH sides. Easy this football lark!

Then throw me out they will, however I hope that Dave will see common sence in this, and let it go for 90 minutes on a Saturday afternoon. Not being funny but if 150/200 people sing it will be louder than the horn's buddy!!! If they do I hope Dave throws them out for being too loud!!!!!!

Did you know that there was complaints about people hitting the back of the stand?

We have had nobody else use air horns in the ground this season so why do YOU think that you have the right to?

Because every other club accepts it. I'd wager this decision is done more to quieten our support and give you home advantage, than for any consideration for your neighbours. Or is it club policy to put the neighbours ahead of your own fans?

Look. The majority of residents campaigned and complained bitterly about the planning application to build the ground and have Enfield Town FC playing at Brimsdown.

We now hear they are already complaining about noise during games.(and they no doubt had a hand in the deployment of traffic wardens outside the ground a few months ago).Someone said that we have a good relationship with the residents.I don't think we do, and why is that so important?Certain elements will complain,no matter how much we try to softsoap them.

Before the ground was built, they used to be druggies and all sorts of lowlife, roaming about on the open field making noise to all hours.

This is beiginning to smack of heavy handedness on our part, and restriction of choice.Remember how we hated Leyton telling us where we could or couldn't stand a few years ago.

Pandering to Brimsdown SC.Pandering to local residents.Don't take you car to the game. Don't take a horn.In all my years of watching football.I have never come across those two requests before.Yes,we will try to respect local residents. We already do.We do not make any noise entering or leaving the ground. We do not park over their driveways,or block their access in any way.BUT no restrictions should be put in place about noise during a game.

Personally I don't mind the use of air horns and I don't see why we shouldn't bang on the back of the stands. However, if the club has rules then visiting fans should respect those rules in the same way that we should respect the rules when we visit other clubs.

Well said Mr Happy. The reason that I was asked to make the posting in the first place was to make you all aware of the Ground rules at Goldsdown Road during ETFC Games. We have already had many complaints about noise from the local residents & as I already stated we are not allowed to play music at Evening Games. These ground rules are exactly the same as the ones that were in force at EFC when Dave was Safety Officer there when we used to Ground Share at St Albans City FC.

At the end of the day it is not all you Supporters that have to deal with these complaints it's all us people that "DO" on Matchdays.

Lets hope it is a Great Day for everyone & that commonsence prevails.

Are you serious? People at ETFC have asked you not to take a car to the game? Outrageous. It seems like Goldsdown Rd. is becoming the non-league Highbury library A fans club run by fans for the fans? Do me a favour...more like a fans club run by officials who tell other fans who aren't commitee members what they can and can't do and say.

re the cars, this is the same for any club, there is a requirement by the local concils to encourage people to use public transport - simple.

First I've heard of it. Mind you I wouldn't use public transport, only losers take the bus.

Taking the bus is so council estate-like and common! If one wants to drink then one should just use a chauffeur!

hate to disagree Russ, but any organisation that will have a "large" gathering of people need to inform the authorities and make adequate provision part of that is to give advice and promote the use of public transport.

personally I don't care if both your supporters use their cars............

OK, I might buy the evening games = no air horns, trumpets etc (only just mind), but come on 3pm on a Saturday afternoon, behave.
If people really are complaining not only are they extremley sad with obviously very little in their lives to do but what I would like to know is how they cope with a fuction in the Downs bar at 11pm on a Saturday night & all the local pi$$ heads turning out!
What a load of bo**ocks, and a perfect example of what is wrong with society today!
