Would you still go to matches if Canvey moved away from the Island?

I think with this talk of amalgamation, the question has to be asked.

If Canvey were to move away from the Island, would you still attend matches at a new venue, ie Chelmsford or a ground shared with another club?

I said yes. I wouldn't go to Chelmsford because I don't want to support them. However if we moved to Sadlers Farm as has been suggested before, I'd stick with them. In fact, after Waterside, that is my next preferred move... though it'll be a pain in the backside for those of us who rely on public transport.

If CIFC moved to Chelmsford then no, I wouldn't watch them, mainly because the public transport network from Canvey to Chelmsford is rubbish. You'd have to get at least two buses or two trains or one of each to get there.

If they moved to somewhere like Saddlers Farm then possibly.

Could see Concord's attendance increasing by a hundred or so though.

I wouldn't and personally would give up watching live football altogether.

Do Concord have a fan base?

Probably those that think that watching Canvey is too expensive and/or those that play for their Youth. (They have a Womens team too).

Yep ESL. They won it a few years back.

Don't go! Don't go!

Don't move guys, drop divisions rather than move or merge. I couldnt contemplate following my team if it was moved anywhere, it'd be a killer.

I'd rather we dropped 8 divisions than move or merge. It's your team- fight for it, get the local community involved, kids girls, grannies, everybody.

Just do it- dont dwell on your bigger neighbours, we have shed loads of those to worry about.

Canvey is a great club, it really is. So, mobilise yourselves and fight for it to stay put!
