"Crisis Meeting"

Nothing on the site. Surely if this was the case, the club would have posted something on the official site or asked somebody in authority, ie Wayne, to leave a message here.

Anyway, there is a game at Park Lane tomorrow with Steve's Taxis using the ground so I hardly think it would be possible to use the clubhouse for a meeting with that going on too.

If anything materialised from this it would be interesting to see who turns up at the ground tomorrow.

If the whole First XI squad show up, then you know something could be going down.

True, I'm gonna wait for an official statement before commenting further, because 'the meeting' could be about anything - Positive, Negative, something totally unrelated.

Needless to say though, that the 'Dagenham fan' thought it was all a done deal last week and something was to be announced on BBC Essex yesterday afternoon. He was so confident he posted it on two different forums!

What do they know that we don't eh? Just checked the Isthmian fans site again, yet another thread on there dedicated to this and even good ol' Uncle Urchin's getting in on the game!

Apparently there was announcement due to be made on the Supports Club Coach today about tomorrows meeting..

Believe it or not I was expecting this, as soon as you mentioned Chris Gardner in the earlier post.

Now I wouldn't be surprised if the details were already out and tomorrow is the official 'unveiling'.

Not all the way from Wycombe mate. It's bad enough getting home from Uni during a weekday let alone a Sunday morning! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

However my PC will be firmly fixed to this forum and the official site for any updates throughout the day.

Surely the way to do this is through the official website and local papers isn't it? Announce the meeting, where, when etc. and at least give people some advance notice to make arrangements to be able to get along there

Everybody who has any feeling for Canvey whatsoever should be given the chance to come along to hear what Jeff has to say and surely the club would want to reach the biggest audience possible if they do want our help and support on matters.

As it stands, if these rumours are true of a meeting tomorrow, I will not be able to come along but given advanced notice I would definately have been there, come what may and as a season ticket holder feel I (and many others in the same position)should have at least been given advance warning of something so important for the club that is still un-confirmed as I write this at almost 21.45 on a Saturday night.

The time frame of this whole situation is making me feel like that this 'meeting' has been arranged at such short notice to quash all these rumours. I mean doing it at Noon on a Sunday is hardly gonna have the Press hurtling down to Park Lane, (unless they were informed prior to today).
