Nestles have marauded through our country and bought up every confectionery-making company they could get their hands on and SQUEEZED every OUNCE of QUALITY from them in the name of making money.

Take Rowntree's products, for instance. Have you tried Rowntree’s Fruit Pastilles, or Smarties, or Kit-Kat, or Aero Bars (they've even made the bubbles bigger), or Blue Riband, or Rolo, lately.

Every product Rowntree's used to make they've sucked the life out of. They've all become inferior products.

The ingredients and wrappings have all been changed to cut production costs to a bare, absolute, minimum to save as much money as is possible, and ALL at the customers expense in quality.

Life, as we know it, will never be the same again!

Another case of the ‘Rip Off Britain’ syndrome.

But what about peanut butter kit-kats? They're the dogs proverbials.

What does 'the dog's proverbials' mean?

Does it mean the dog prefers them instead of you?
- Or not even the dog will eat 'em!

Sorry! I have to own up to an incorrect fact in my first post.

Rowntree are the only company Nestle's have taken over in the UK, no one else.

I hope in the future the decline is halted and the quality is put back as quickly as possible, for Britain's, the workforce and the City of York's sake.

If it is any consolation, Nestle's chocolate is crappy in the US too.

They are indeed.
I thought I had the best kept secret when I had a load imported to indulge in.
Now they've let the peasants enjoy them. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Who runs the world.

Is it the Americans?

Is it the Jews?

Is it the Muslems?

Is it 'Wal-mart'

No! It's NESTLES.

I think it is the American Jews who have converted from being Muslim who sell Nestle's at Walmart.

What about the latest gimmick - buy a kit-kat for a place in BIG BROTHER. They've given up trying to sell chocolate and given up what cred they had left to sell places in a game show instead.

Now - That's BIG big!!

Might even send the sales up for a few days each year.

Contests like that are standard in the U.S. Most companies do them, Coke, Pepsi, chocolate companies, fast food places, etc. It is all an advertising gimmick, whether the company has a good product, or crap.
