Nice to see somethings never change! Billericay somehow got themseleves into a position that a win from their final game against Hampton would get them into the promotion play offs but they lost 2-1. Yet another season for them down the drain.

Just hope that AFC Wimbledon win it. With all their huge support they deserve to be in a far higher League.

In fairness to Billericay they were nowhere a few weeks ago but a decent run under Matt Jones saw them nearly sneak into the play offs via the back door.

Just because they have a large support does not mean they deserve to be in a far higher league

Also their players are filth who spit at opponents

Fisher who took around 200-300 to the league cup final should win the play offs as imo are better team than Braintree

Err...I don't think you should be talking aboout any other clubs season being a waste of time, should you?

Ours certainly wasn't. Great entertainment. And getting ourselves in with a chance of making the playoffs was an achievment in itself. For some reason I've enjoyed this run in better than last years where we played second fiddle to Yeading all season. You won't find any 'ricay fans complaining.

Agree that Fisher should go up. A class above anyone else we've faced this season. Amazing they ony got 3rd, but home form let them down.

AFC were pretty average really. Sure, they've a great fan base but I don't think they're ready for Conferance South.

So it's looking like next season Chelmo will have the benefit of Mr Kings management skills, but not his money. I think there'll be one or two Claret fans less than happy with that deal. And I don't think we'll be to worried about our visit to Melbourne.

Have a good summer.

I had to laugh at that one. They've got a name in charge if he goes. Surely you mean Mr King's 'supervised' management skills from his assistant Glenn Pennyfather.

Yes. I laughed as I typed it <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
Is Pennyfarther that good? And what can he do with a team that made mid-table in the Ryman Premier. Without the cash injection that they've all been clamouring for at Chelmsford I can't see the point of it all.

Craig Edwards has done a reasonable job there, just a shame about the disciplinary blunders. But if Jeff King doesn't take his wallet with him they'd be better off sticking with the devil they know.

I think it will be interesting at Chelmsford next year, if as I hear Jeff is not gonna put his money in.

Then he will have to at time bend to some of the committees decisions. We all know Jeff likes to be in charge and does not suffer fools.

I cannot wait to see his reaction to some of the jumped up self important blazers they have on the fringes of Chelmsford.

How will they react when Jeff talks straight and does not cow tow.

I can gauruntee one thing, it is gonna be rocky!!

Well, let them have him.

I can guarantee that the Non League paper will be banned eventually once the sh*t starts flying around!

We can start a fresh and start acting like a proper club. Decisions being made for the good of the club and fan participation along with local help that will not be told to stick it like in the past.

I think once we get out of this sticky patch and find out what division we will be competing in next season, things will settle down and be really good again. And it will be enjoyable and not like a dictatorship where you have to watch what you say otherwise you get banned!

We certainly shouldn't. At least Billericay can pick up next season where they've left off this. Can't say it's likely we'll be doing the same, can you?

As a Chelmsford fan I and many other City fans sympathise with whats happening but please dont start saying things about our directors and people in suits when you dont know what you are talking about! if you do happen to know anyone who fits the description then let us know who it is.

I cannot recall mentioning "directors", I can recall mentioning people on the "fringes".

It was not meant to offend anyone at Chelmsford, it was a view about management styles.

why do you assume they are self important and how does wearing a blazer give a view on management styles. By the way the only people I see wearing blazers at football are directors.

it has been a long road for City but we have kept behind the board and been involved with lots of fund raising inititives.

I fear it will be tough for you but it is great that you are not giving up and starting to fight for your club. I hope that it will be possible for you to stay in the Conference.

Keep up the good work!

Its Craig Edwards I feel sorry for, what a decent bloke and a truly superb effort at Chelmsford to be rewarded like this ! I cant beleive this all d int money orientated somewhere, what a good job Craig would do here at Ryman standard, again dont go to ESL - torture !

I'd agree with the first bit - we have to earn promotion, and we certainly don't deserve to be anywhere higher because of our crowds.

As for the players gobbing on opponents, not heard of that one before, but it does seem a bit strong labelling them all 'filth'. That said, I wouldn't want *any* player in our side who gobs at people.

Finally, without sounding like I'm taking a pop - how did Fisher take 200-300 fans to the league cup final? They've had only a handful present every time we've played them in the last couple of years. That said, they are a good side. Just because we've beaten them home and away this season, doesn't mean tonight's a foregone conclusion. If anything it'll make them more determined to beat us.

Good luck to AFC Wimbledon tonight, I really hope you go up.
I went to your game at Maldon and met many of your fans who were really great fans, who just wanted to support the real Wimbledon in whatever League they were in.

Just hope you draw MK DOns in the FA Cup next season that should be very interesting!

Admittedly it was harsh not saying and one of the players are filth should of put that. The player in question is Dwanne Plummer who after being the second player sent off in our game at New Lodge a weeks ago preceded to spit at one of our players in the face (who did not retaliate) after being sent off I did not see it myself but he certainly got a louder send off then the other player sent off on the day and I am told by people who were standing close to the incident that he spat at one of our players as he went off
