If enough of us complain to the council then maybe they will do something to finally help out our club!

Complain about what! Jeff has took his money and gone home.

Charlie more importantly we should be talking to the council so we can get them to help us as a partner.

For Example if we apply to the Football Foundation Stadia Improvement Fund or The Capital Projects Scheme they will ask the local council do they support our application if they say yes, then we will almost certainly get the money both these grants are for different things we can even pay groundstaff and development officers from the grants.

Football Stadia Improvement Fund

Aim of scheme
The Football Stadia Improvement Fund (FSIF) provides grant aid to clubs, that wish to improve their facilities for players, officials and for spectators.

The type of projects which qualify for FSIF funding and the amount of grant available depends upon the level at which clubs are playing but include:

• safety work
• refurbishment and upgrading
• spectator accommodation (excluding directors’ and
executive facilities)
• toilets
• floodlighting
• improvements to changing facilities
• pitch drainage
• relocation Projects
• provision for disabled spectators

Capital Projects Scheme

Aim of scheme
Capital Projects funding primarily supports organisations that wish to build develop and/or refurbish facilities in order to sustain and/or increase participation.

Types of facilities funded include, grass pitches drainage/improvements, changing rooms, floodlights, artificial turf pitches, pavilions and clubhouses, funding is also available for revenue purposes e.g. a football development officer.

I have got applications together for both of these funds in the past, if we are to be succesful we may need to develop the club house more to be used as a community facility.

That then opens us up to a lot more grant funding!!

So by all means talk to the council, tell them we want their support in exchange for our votes in future.

Especially with Jeff's Boys brigade going as well. It'll make the place a bit more welcoming.
