I get the impression there's some fancy business going on behind the scenes? <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/sleeping.gif" alt="" />

REALLY?! Wow, already? I mean surely they would've had to interview candidates and everything else and sit down and pick the best of the bunch? Wow! that was really quick!!

Wonder if he's any good then..? <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/laughuncontrollable.gif" alt="" />

Ive said before on this Forum that I sympathise with whats happening and as a City fan it leaves a bad taste in the mouth, but I cant see how it could go tits up.

We dont have anything that Jeff King can take away from us. The worst that can happen is that we end up back where we are at the moment. We have had trying times during the last 10 years trying to keep our Club alive and our board would not place anything in jeopardy.

On a positive note keep up your good work and if any potential investor can see the hard work being put in by the fans that will be more willing to part with their money. We have proved it can be done.

I've been supporting Canvey since 1993, a year after Jeff took over in 1992. He will be harsh with the media if he doesn't like what they say and this could detract publicity to your plan of Conference football and beyond in the future. He has banned the non-league paper from Canvey because of comments made. This is despite him loving them when the spotlight was on him in 2001 for our cup exploits. Sorry, but if you are in a high profile league, then you have to put up with it.

You will also have to put up with his entourage of middle age thugs as they walk about the place like they own it. You will find it hard to talk about him openly because thay have their tongues wedged up his ar*e and act like they are in their own little boys club. You'll be hearing of names such as Smut and 'H'. You'll soon be praying its the one from Steps. You think you wont notice or mind but believe me, eventually you will.

Eventually you will also realise that things people say that Jeff may not agree with could face possible banning from the ground. It has happened here and similar actions will come into place at your ground.

You think this wont happen but Jeff is not just going as manager. He will want some influence over the place and these things will definately follow him to Chelmsford. I've have seen all kinds over the years and i can guarantee Jeff brings his baggage with him.

alot of the things you mention are because Jeff had sole control over Canvey and was aloud to get away with everything, he wont have as much control over Chelmsford i assume but im sure he will stamp his mark on the place

Breeze (David Baker) has now confirmed same.

Jeff admitted he had been in talks with CCFC since the beginning of year!! He will not be putting any monies into the club. Glen will be manager and 5 other backroom staff going with him. Two named - Brian Horne and Matthew Bright. The other 3 to be named later. He refused to say if any out of contract players will be going with him.
