I liked Sterling.

Best of luck to him at Lewes who seem to have become a very steady, difficult side to beat.

Definitely a good acquisition at that level.

I wouldn`t be suprised if Clarke went back to Lewes.

Haha, his agent the Lewes manager? Bit daft to walk into a situation like that, isn't it? He doesn't know what might happen.

Another player goes. They will have to have a special section on the website on how all our ex-players are getting on.
The one I will most look out for the most is Jason Hallett. Its a real shame he won't fulfil his potential at Canvey. I hope he doesnt hook up with Jeff King and signs for at least at top Conference club.
Will never forget when he scored against Grays in the home game and ran towrds their fans. Great moment.

I'd like to know what's keeping Jeff from announcing which six, (well five) players are joining him at Chelmsford. It's not as if it's a big secret now or anything. We all know Chenery is one, but the others?

I can see it now though - A press day is called, Chelmsford City are about to launch their new home kit. In walk six players all wearing the same new claret shirt, all ex-Canvey and Jeff with a big smug grin on his face introduces the core of Chelmsford's new team! - That's what I'd do!

Following on from Dom signing for Lewes, Ollie Berquez has been released by Stevenage.

Talking of old players, rumour has it that Dave Theobald is signing for St Albans.

Yeah I read about that last night, but was too pissed/tired to type properly. Seems he's making the step up back into the Conference.

Also, if some rumours are to be believed, Chelmsford will soon announce which ex-Gulls they've signed.

Apparently he's just signed for Hayes! Would take St. Albans over them anytime.

Also found out that John Keeley, our ex-Goalkeeper is still playing! He's at Worthing, as well as acting as the Brighton coach.

He is far better than that. No offence to Maidenhead but he could easily play at Conf South level.

It could well be him and BUNCE at the heart of the Maidenhead defence next season!
