You're wrong there Mr Happy. I'm a teacher and I continually hear students in the 8 - 15 age group talking about information they've picked up on PC gaming and sports discussion forums.

Come on Happy. It's not about lightening up it is about waking up to the fact that racism, homophobia and general intolerance are not acceptable on a family forum like this.

I am sick of your holier than thou comments. You are making a big deal out of one micky take that countless Spurs fans around the country make all the time. This does not make me or them homophobic. I do not criticize Town fans for using the odd expletive. Bad language is common place in football grounds all over the UK. I only crticize the language when it is:

a) Constantly sung in songs/chants or

B) When certain individuals scream obsenities at the ref or opposing players.

I will not respond to any more of your comments re this subject as you are boring me intensely. I will continue with the light hearted banter that generally prevails on these fora. If you don't like it, then tough. Oh, by the way, why don't you take a trip onto the AFC Hornchurch forum. There has been a few similar gags about Campbell over there. Why don't you have a pop at them?

I'm wrestling with the apparent contradiction in the dictum that intolerance is unacceptable.....

I've always thought that moderation can be overdone.

And have you noticed that there's only one Monopolies Commission?

Sorry to disappoint you Smallman but I'm not as you so delicately put it a 'Gayer'. Would it be a problem if I was?

How 'Bigsy' of you Smallsy. By the way, is it true that the 'small' reference in your name a reflection of your own manhood?

I'll say no to your kind oral offer though. If you are wanting to experiment or if you are bi curious, why not practice on one of your 'Gayer' mates?

In all seriousness, please remember to send in objections to Tottenham Hotspurs' plan to their attempts to blight out Enfield landcape with their training centre at Bulls Cross.

The planning meeting is set for Monday 5th June. You can find my original posting at the top of this thread along with the address for the obejection.

Spurs should build in their own manor, preferably on a brown field site away from green belt.

You're right mate - I am a 'Jobsworth' when it comes to abusing the green belt. I will not tollerate this type of urban vandalism by SPurs or any other like-minded group.

Thanks for pointing out that I should get out more. May I suggest that you should do us all a favour and 'GET OUT LESS!'

Look out for next weeks headline in the Gazette...

'SPURS SPURNED!'

MM ,pull your neck in,until you know the wider overview. You obviously have some ulteria motive.Whether you are a regular campaigner for these sorts of issues or you just have a grudge against Spurs.( How many other greebelt planning applications have you opposed as strongly in the past?)
You say that its because the appilcation is in Enfield. You don't even live in Enfield yourself.

I detest the erosion of the Greenbelt myself, but i'd much rather have a worldclass premiership training facility in the borough and all the prestige and benifit for the local economy that that would bring, rather than yet another fairview or Laings housing estate.

If you want to save Greenbelt in your county.Focus of the St Neots proposal to build a whole new 35,000 population town on greenbelt near Stevange.

Ps..Why use a diffent forum identity to soley talk about this one issue?

PPS.. Please be careful you don't knacker the progression of your own club, with this campaign you are running.

You must remember that there is nowhere in haringey to build a major sports facility like there is nowhere to build one in Islington so greenbelt land MUST be used in a different borough.

I live in Enfield and work in Waltham Cross! Having said that, I do not see the relevance to be honest LS. I would oppose this development whoever the team or company was. The greenbelt is there for a reason and there are plenty of brown field sites that haven't even been considered.

We are, after all only temporary custodians of our teams whoever we support. Hopefully our beloved teams will be around long after we are around. As a teacher, the welfare of future generations is a point that is close to my heart.

This proposal will be fought to the end. I will be attending the meeting on the 5th July along with other supporters from EPS. Come and join us Lovelystuff. You'll be made very welcome.

Next weeks Gazette headline...........

'SPURS SPURNED AT BULLS CROSS! (You heard it here first)

Why wern't EPS sucessful in stopping Enfield Town (a market town),from being turned into a concrete copy of Wood Green/Brent Cross?? That is the sort of real destruction of Enfields infrastucture and heritage.Enfield is vertually at gridlock on the roads.Crime, violent disorder, and roberies are rampant. Most of EN3 is now a concrete jungle. What is there left for the EPS to preserve??? An unused field near Forty hall? Its like 'closing the stable door (many years) after the horse has bolted',or if i were to be less tactfull.'p*ssing in the wind'.

Various governments and local councils have desimated Tottenham/Edmonton/Enfield over the last five decades,to such an extent that there is no land left (in the nicer areas of the borough) in which to build the sort of facility that Spurs wish to build.Of course Spurs would rather this land wasn't green belt, but be realistic. The club don't want to build a mulit million pound exclusive training facility,in the middle of some industial area near the many sink-estates and ghettos, that Tottenham,as an area, has been allowed to become.
