But that would benefit THEIR comunity in the borough that they belong in which just proves they are after making money for themselves, you would soon complain if a supermarket wanted to build a warehouse on the greenbelt land.

If Supermarkets and Warehouses would not have been allowed to swamp our communities, our local premiership club would be able to build a facility in the borough WITHOUT the need to encroach on Greenbelt land.

Look.Spurs wanting to build a world class football academy and complex in OUR borough IS very prestigous for our area, and Enfield as a borough and council should be very pleased for it to happen.

The only genuine cause for objection should be the greenbelt issue.

It is NOT Enfield's premiership club Its Haringey's so the 'our local' part is wrong.

Its the most LOCAL premiership club to Enfield,is it not?

It's certainly a damn sight nearer in proximity to WHL, than Chelsea's Surrey training complex is to Stamford Bridge.

So if they were relegated then you would go to the next nearest premiership side to feather their nest at Enfield's expense?

By definition, the further away a team is,the less 'local' they are to your area.

So if West Ham were the nearest club, they wouldn't be 'local' because they are too far away, and do not have large fanbase or tradition in our local community.

You must remember that there is nowhere in haringey to build a major sports facility like there is nowhere to build one in Islington so greenbelt land MUST be used in a different borough.
Oh I dont know ,it looks like a perfect opportunity to get shot of Broadwater Farm to me. The hell with spurs ,And I wouldn't like to see them in Enfield either. Lovely stuff your argument is flawed I just dont see how a training camp for the yids will be prestigious for Enfield . Perhaps you could enlighten me .

Yet again you sidestep the Issue WHAT WOULD SPURS DO FOR FOOTBALL IN ENFIELD OR FOR THE ENFIELD PUBLIC ? The answar is sod all unless theres something in it for them.Maybe you'd like to see Town become something of a nursery club for spurs, I know most Towners would nausiate at that thought.

Once again you make a mention of Enfield playing outside the borough and as I have told you before its NOT THE FAULT OF THE CURRENT BOARD OR COMMITTEE or the supporters ,You are aware of this situation so why keep saying it over and over, Idiots like you still carry it on two and a half years after Laz disappeared into the sunset,So why dont you just give it a rest.

If those currently at the club had abided by the democratic vote of all EFC supporters in 2001.You WOULD watching and supporting football in the borough of Enfield and would have been doing so for the past 5 years.

TG..In fact, last season you 'voluntarily' chose to remove yourself from watching football in the borough of Enfield.

Lazarou has nothing to do with it.

I removed myself because i got sick and tired of peoples petty prejudices as regards E F C. Also the behavior of at least two ETFC boardroom staff who have put quite pathetic comments on here several times. And the P M I received from one of them was way over the top. As for my daughter being an EFC mascot some prat saw fit to make up an I D and send me a message that is not repeatable. Also I pay to watch a game of football NOT listen to morons talk utter S**t about EFC , The worse I heard it was at the league cup final v W/abbey when both Enfeld clubs had seemingly got promoted and the rubbish I had to listen to at that match "For Example one such person approached me and said ....I Hear Enfield cant go up because they cant afford to do up WODSON PARK ,Just what Brimmo has on wodson park I'll never know. The same lie was even texted to my mobile while I was on holiday in spain acouple of weeks earlier , And this was the best by far ,Is that right enfield cant go up because the southern league dont accept ground sharing clubs!!!???, When I asked what Towns situation is He replied Yeah but wer'e in the borough. I just couldn't contain my laughter at that one. And of course we have the medic man and one or two like him, on several occasions talking nonsence about E F C matters even telling me on one occasion that lazarou is still in charge at E F C.Then there was a board member leading anti E F C chants behind the goal at Burnham ,And of course the usual brain dead ones followed suit. So forgive me but if thats what a fans run club is about then I cant support it .Certain persons had cleared out of E F C by then so I went back and I dont have to listen to morons that talk crap. Not all town fans but its always the minority that spoil it for the many.

So you don't get morons at EFC talking crap about Enfield Town??? Come on,who are you kidding. The rumour mill and resentment, are as rife at EFC as it they were at ETFC.(judging by the manic screams and comments at the derby,i would say a lot worse). The only differene is,that there are a third less people to get under you skin at EFC, as there was at the Town.

Or maybe ,it just offends you more when Town fans slate off EFC.Than when EFC slate of Town .If that is the case, your final choice of club was inevitable.

Rumour Mill /Resentment at E F C ,You must have very good hearing if you can hear it from Brimsdown. Twist it around as much as you like I can assure you its not on the same scale at E F C as it was one year ago at town ,And E F C board members conduct themselves in an appropriate way . Of course you get chants and nasty ones too its a local derby for christ sakes these things happen . And I left town for the reasons stated above and it wasn't a decision I made lightly , If you think abuse aimed at me and my only child is something I can brush off then me and you are on different wavelengths. There appears some people have a problem with me retaining my E F C connections ,So I relieved them of this burden IS THAT IN PLAIN ENOUGH ENGLISH FOR YOU.

Right. So its the abusive e-mail that was the main catalyst.I'm sure every Town fan (apart from the person who sent it) would totally condemn the comments in that e-mail.But you tried to infure that the behaviour and resentment of Town fans is worse than EFC fans. From the witnessing of all the local derbys,i would say that,if anything, the opposite is true. You say that the EFC board handle themselves more correctly than Towns.Town have a lot more board members.I'm sure our four main members are just as well behaved as EFC's main four. And i'm sure EFC's general committe members are equaly as likely to make the occassional unsuitable comment,as Towns lesser board members are.

Will you give up supporting EFC is you hear one of the board or working commitee say anything derogatory about Town or if they repeat a rumour they heard about Town? Will you be disgusted if you hear a chant or a song ,behind the goal at EFC,about (god forbid) their local rivals??

Very few at Town resented you at the time you were supporting both teams, but just because you supported EFC at the time, didn't mean that the rest of the fans did.I hear plenty of comments and insults about Spurs at the Town, but i don't take it personally and realise that just because i support them, doesn't mean other fans can't have a pop at them.

You were supporting two teams that were local rivals. If you supported both Spurs and Arsenal. How offended would you be by the comments about either club,at their respective home games??

The trouble comes now, when you accuse Town fans of poor behaviour, when it is natural behaviour by rival fans, and behaviour which goes on at every club, including EFC.

I suggest that the reason you abandoned ETFC was because of several different factors.

1.You formed a close relationship with one or two on the EFC board, during their time in charge.

2.You disliked hearing Town fans have a dig at EFC,because deep down you always favoured them.

3.The e-mail finally flipped the balance.

Fair enough. But lets not get hollier than thou about it,and pretend the reason you gave up Town, was because EFC fans are better behaved and more respectful than Town ones. The reason is,you took greater offense at jibes directed at EFC,than you took/take offense about jibes directed at ETFC.Maybe that just proves you never really supported both teams equally.Who knows?

Items 2 & 3 are correct .I dont know who your referring to in Item 1 though. I should never have got myself involved at Enfield Town and your right my alligence was always with E F C so what I admit it . I have been a fan of E F C since 1973 not something I can easily switch off even if you can . ETFC is not what I thought it was but thats my opinion . If Es did someday cease to exist I still wouldnt go to Enfield Town . I would just give up .
