Dennis also pointed out that we are effectively a new club and therefore have no money in the coffers from previous years - we are starting a fresh. This extra £1 would help get some money behind us for the following financial year.

All other clubs have previously been trading so they had budgeted for their future expenses etc where as we need to do the fundraising and grab that extra pound to help ourselves for that first financial year.

He also mentioned that the price of the programmes would be REDUCED to £1.50.

Fom my point of view it is better because I can bring a few kids.

Excellent, I hope many will also do likewise.

It's been a long time coming, but finally every individual can have their say without fear of it falling on the deaf ears of one person.

I think this is what most people tend to forget. Our current bank balance without any sponsorship announced so far is effectively 0. The only money we do have is what's been raised so far through donations, but does anyone know what that will be spent on yet?

Matt,

Some of the money raised is paying for the subsription/registration of the Ryman league (cant remember the exact figure quoted - possibly £200) and also for the special footballs we have to use at Ryman level (maybe we can get a refund on the conference ones lol)

The bills have already been received for these items and we were told would be paid for by the sponsership money that had be raised:)

We have no money!!

It is very important that we all walk or sponsor people who do walk!

People need to realise most of the money we/the club have has come from the sponsored walks etc.

Glen took Jnr around on Thursday meeting people telling them about how they had done on the sponsored walk etc, that was a good move.

Now he wants to do the next one, and his mates want to join him.

In my view the youngsters are the way forward, they have the enthusiasm and their parents and granparents have the money.

We raised over £1500 from the Dagenham walk which was a great effort. That money has yesterday been used to enter the Ryman League next year.

Well done to everyone who contributed either by taking part or sponsorship - it just goes to show how we are all literally helping this club to operate.
