Please feel free to correct me if I am wrong, as per usual. But...:
We do some fundraising typ thingy. We raise, lets say, £10,000. Now where does that money go? I am wrong in saying that you cannot treat one creditor differently than another? Therefore, if you pay Hucknall in full, you have to pay everyone else in full. This means that fundraising right now would be rather pointless, because there are two things we could do with the money. A). Give it to Harding and B). Give it to the supporters' club. Either one of these options is going to displease (?) at least one person.

Roberto, my good man. I am not suggesting anything. I do not feel that I have sufficient influence, or sound mind, that is needed in these kind of situations. My message was more a question than a statement.

I am just trying to work out what would happen if we raised £5,000 tomorrow morning, for example. Where would it go? Who would it go to? The players are creditors as well, aren't they?

GHA, have you never heard of the brown paper envelope? No, seriously, the money doesn't have to *go* anywhere. It can sit in the Supporters Club bank account or the 'Save Our Saints Fund' til Armageddon arrives and then be used usefully to get us back on our feet (sorry AFF haven't had time to think this through properly yet). After all, there's no point in throwing good money after bad, is there?
[ 01 February 2002: This message was edited by: Rob the Saint ]

Of course I dont know much about all this, but want to air my opinion as Im getting so fed up with all this bickering. I thought we were suppose to be working together?
I do see GHA's point about treating creditors differently, but Rob is also right in the fact that we can just keep hold (for want of a better phrase!) of the money and raise more. I hope!
I think the ides of getting sponsorship form famous people (players) is plausable and could rasie some good cash!
Seen as no-one else is going to do it, I think the suporters should get together and form some sort of trust. Someone with half a brain needs to be in charge and ideas need to be thrown about. There are so many options that could be followed up. Im afraid now that this is the only way to go! We are cutting it a bit fine!
So many people have so many good ideas, if we just get together and air them we could sort this out.
Hands up if you wanna lose your football club?!!

I think you misunderstood the tone that it was written in, but then again I may have done. Whatever.
