Right,

i have thought about this for quite a while and i think its only fair that i apologise for the extremities of my comments made to Jeff.

I did so thinking he had screwed us in so many ways before he finalised the final dealings at the club.

I still stand by my comments about the fact that he left us for a richer option after always claiming to love the club. I think if he did, he would still be here.

But, like many others, rumours were that he had left us high and dry and i believed it.

He left us the ground and paid all our debts and has left us to carry on with a fresh start. This, i can only thank him for.

But i'm not wishing him luck in his new job though! Fu*k that!

i have to say that Jeff has left us in a good postion with regards to the ground and being clear of Debts..

My two issues are that he had pretty much decided to leave the club early this year but instead of telling us sooner so that we could possibly sort out other options to keep the club at higher level he gave us 4 / 5 weeks notice?? .

Also we would of played in the Ryman Prem next year but Jeff was very unhappy about this and refused to pass the club over unless we asked to be removed and placed into the Ryman North.. This has been part of the deal has been swept under the carpet as the new comitte don't want to rock the boat with Jeff until the club is in our own hands

Also i was frustrated that Jeff could not face the supports to break the news he was off, you had to feel sorry for Chris Gardner!!

this was not Jeffs idea, the league said that because he still had commitments in us he could not sign a deal with Chelmsford.

Eggy i don`t know if what you are saying is true or not but i asked you once before if this was a fact and i will ask the same question again, can you back this statement up with anything else but hearsay?

Your comments are basically saying that the people who are now running the club are not telling us the truth (i believe they are) and if i was one of those people i would be very offended by your statement.

The Club would eventually have been put in Ryman 1 North for two reasons:

A. It's where we wanted to be put originally by the Board. All our budgeting was based on Ryman 1 North and after much discussion once the club had learned that we were in the Ryman Premier it was decided we would ask to be put down a division so it we would not have any extra financial implications i.e. higher wages to have a more competative squad.

B. The Board wish for the transaction of the Club to run as smoothly as possible. League rules state that an individual cannot be involved with two Clubs at the same time. Therefore by being put down a division it would allow Jeff to take on the role as Manager of Chelmsford and also finalise the sale of CIFC Ltd without any setbacks. I wouldn't exactly say Jeff forced us to drop down further, but probably at his request if we did he would be able to be more co-operative.

It's all in the minutes from last week's meeting:

Quote:
DR requested that supporters do not post unnecessary comments on the unofficial website as this could damage the good relationship currently held with JK.

3. Ryman North/Ryman Premier

DR explained the reasons surrounding why CIFC went from Ryman Premier to Ryman North. JK requested DR write to the Conference to resign. DR spoke to Mr Moules who expressed their sadness at the news and advised that the FA were likely to put the club into the Essex Senior League.

DR advised within the letter of resignation to Conference and to FA that the preferred league would be Ryman North as club funds would be able to finance this situation. The Leagues Board made the decision to place CIFC in the Premier Division due to the situation occurring at Hendon. No-one foresaw the problems this would create.

DR received a call on 13/6/06 stating that by placing CIFC and Chelmsford in the same league led to a conflict of interest that was not acceptable to the league. By continuing to remain in Premier would lead to JK having to stop having involvement in Chelmsford so he could not fulfil his commitment there. This could have led to JK refusing football being played at CIFC to prevent conflict.

DR contacted Ryman League and asked to go into Ryman North however this was dependant on league accepting this and allowing the reinstatement of Hendon.

This situation had to be resolved by 14/6/06 and led to Wayne Purser (WP) becoming involved which was done late on 14/6/06.

DR reminded the audience that Ryman North was CIFC first preference.

Eton Manor are looking for away friendlies!

Eggy there is nothing wrong with you posting what you think you may or may not know with regards to the Club, this is a forum after all and I personally do enjoy a good bit of speculation However there is a time and a place for comments regarding Jeff King. This is the place of course, but the timing should be until after we've secured the Club's future. I think it's only fair for now.

You know, don't want to upset the big man at this crucial point of negotiations etc.

I totally disagree with you Matt, what Eggy has implied is that we are being lied to (as i said i don`t believe it) and that in turn casts a slur over our new Chairman and committee.

As you say this is an open forum and should stay that way, but people shouldn`t post comments like that unless they are going to back them up with facts.

Forgive me, I should've added that it's to be within reason obviously and of course as you say backed up with facts when it comes to the Board.

They're fans just like us and are handling the affairs of the Club in the most efficient way possible. There are going to be things that we disagree with them about, but that's what the open meetings are for, to reassure us that what they are implying is the best course of action for the future.

Yes lets all move on to the future, we have all had to do a lot of soul searching since Jeffs' announcement and each individually had thoughts about where the club is going. The important thing for everyone now is knowing we will have a team run out onto that pitch come August. After the initial shock of it all and the preceding weeks of uncertainty, I am now looking forward to a new era at the club and I truly beleive it will be better because it wont be a closed shop anymore and will be totally supporter, family and community orientated.

Onwards !!!
