don't think there was that many there,i would of thought at least 2'500 though, the banks at either end of the ground were always packed and everyone went to the game

The record books have always said that HX best crowd was against Chelmsford in the FA Cup 1967. Not sure of the actual attendance though.

i remember playing chelsmford a few years ago in the fa cup, probably around 12-15 years ago, they bought down a few hundred if my memory is correct, not sure what the crowd was,it may of only been 6-700 but it was a lot more than we were used to getting, the winners went on to play barnet in the first round proper(i think)
we lost in last ten-fifteen minutes

Why Bury? Of all the games neutrals may come to, that one has to be the least likely. Reason being, every other team is closer to Canvey.

I took this from an old post on the AFC Sudbury forum.

If the figures are roughly accurate then Bury and Sudbury will potentially be one of the better supported sides next season. Not sure about how many of their fans travel.

I reckon if we average 200 - 300 that would be good

Makes Romford's average of 180 look quite healthy.

180 for an ESL side is not bad. Reckon you would be approaching 250-300 if you were in Ryman one.

I re-jigged it for a reason!

AFC Hornchurch 400

Enfield Town 324

AFC Sudbury 275
Bury Town 205

Maldon Town 194
Romford 180
Ware 155
Arlesey Town 136
Enfield 132
Aveley 127
Redbridge 126
Great Wakering Rovers 121
Potters Bar Town 120
Wivenhoe Town 120
Harlow Town 107

Barking & East Ham 99
Ilford 84
Waltham Forest 82
Waltham Abbey 74
Wingate & Finchley 67
Witham Town 61
Tilbury 60

I've taken out Hendon and replaced them with Romford. There's 22 teams there, which one doesn't belong? Presumably there's only 22 teams in the RLN.

Would be more if we had our own ground...but I am not breath-holding...Hornchurch had the best with 400 (best against us 702).

not knocking romford, but the reason why their average gates were so high were because of the kids coming for training etc before the games and their parents in turn having to pay, saying that it does show good sense to do that

Dagenham I think, slightly ahead of Grays.

I'm not good at remember who brought what down... Forest Green or Alty brought the least though! I'd guess and say York/Halifax/Accy brought the most. Obviously excluding Daggers and Grays. I'm sure Stevenage turned up too.

Not that I can back any of that up with memories.
