Ground Gradings

TB1

Recommended Posts

I know the league are carrying out their inspections this week.

Cobham & Chessington have both been granted A grading today! Also, Guildford United have completed all their work and expect A grade.

Frimley & Farnham tomorrow apparently! Rumour has both these clubs have ground shares to fall back on if their grounds are not up to scratch.

With this in mind, how will the league decide on who stays??

Who would Frimley Green hope to ground share with then paulb?

If Chessington, Cobham and Guildford are all ok and Frimley and Farnham get their grounds passed, or opt for the ground shares they have an option on then who will get relegated? I presume the league will just have to relegate from the bottom up, ie Farnham & Frimley, the bottom 2 from last season

I think, as Mole Valley Predators and Southall left the league, the league have classed them as the bottom two.

Farnham were next, then Feltham and then Bedfont Green.

Feltham groundshare is sorted with Hampton and Bedfont Green are sorted for Yeading.

Frimley Green I think are in trouble as far as their ground is concerned as they have no stand in place. But I have heard they've been speaking to Farnborough Town!!!

Gosh, it'll be a far better league next year with all these groundshares, clubs should be able to attract better players. It'll a lot tougher than last year for teams to win it. I think Godalming Town have got out just at the right time!!

24 Team Set Up. 19 teams left at the end of the season. 8 teams coming in, 7 from Ryman and Bookham. So they have to lose 3 teams. Providing everyone has the ground it has to be the bottom 3.

I agree oneclub. For the 1st year the CCL is going to be a strong league. Thanks to all us Div 2 clubs I might add <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

Tough choice.

Chertsey, Egham + Wembley from Ryman 2 and maybe Dorking. Sandhurst are usually strong, Ash United, Merstham and Horley. Also it would appear that NGU may have some cash to splash.

Big chat from you Ryman 2 teams, from my experience sides from the CCL have a good record against you lot in County Cups FA & Vase!!

Feltham have forked out so much money is getting their ground share in place with Hampton and for them to be told they are relagated will be a big blow!

The league haven't done themselves any favours in agreeing every team from Ryman an automatic place.

I believe Bookham will not get promoted. They finished 3rd and haven't got a ground. Very harsh to promote them and relagate someone like Frimley who finished outside the bottom 3 and also have a groundshare but have their own ground to fall back on!

The reason for the good record is because all the CCL clubs had a huge chip on their shoulder about Ryman 2 and always played above their ability. When it came down to being invitied to play in it they all bottled it and stayed in the CCL where they had all those easy games.

I agree about Bookham which means it would be the bottom 2.
