I REALLY hope Jason can stay in the Conference and shine next season.

Grays, Stevenage, Dagenham, Cambridge, it doesn't matter as long as he's given the chance.

This is due to the Bosman rule where players under 24yrs have to be bought unless the club allow a free transfer, crafty old Jeff!As for Lee the same applies he has to be bought.

Sorry what point are you trying to make? Isn`t Hallett out of contract and free to go where he wishes?

I was also thinking of Mario and Conroy. If another club wanted Hallett they would still consider this rule. Ofcourse no-one will offer much for 19yr old like Jeff. Although I think some fans rate Jason a bit too high, as is now apparent.

I still don`t get your point, why would other clubs have to consider that rule, all those players were out of contract at Canvey.

If Jeff was to try and sign Hallett he would have to offer him a decent wage and length of contract just like any other club, in fact he may have to offer him more to persuade him to drop down to the Ryman but hopefully Jason will pick a full-time club and continue to improve his game.

as jason is under 24 if jason signs for anther club then canvey will get compensation we should of got this for mario and jay but for some "unknown" reason we never <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

I think the club has to have played a part in a players development to be able to claim any compensation which we didn`t with Conroy and Noto.

Suprised to hear we will be getting compensation for Hallett, is this definite?

Lee along with all players have been released, all players starting next year will have contracts negotiated by the new team at CIFC.

We will be starting with a clean slate and debt free!

Does anyone on here ever listen to what is said at the meetings or even read the notes from Glen et al!

Can`t seem to find any reference to contracted players in any of the minutes posted on here, have you got a link MOB?

I think i read (in the Echo?) that any contracted players we had (3?) were given free transfers but then i read on here that Dolan had refused his because he was injured and now that Boylan is still as of now a Canvey player.

ronin, you're missing the point. If Lee is under contract, he will have to be paid. That's how it works. I'm not being the 'voice of doom', just realistic.

And MOB, I do listen, but when there's conflicting information (is Boylan with us, or not?), what am I supposed to say?
