CCL Proposed constitution

I DID NOT THINK THEY HAD A BIG ENOUGH STAND BUT I CAN'T BELIEVE THEY DID NOT DO ANY THING ABOUT IT

Teflon, I think you are right as they increased the capacity this year after Horley had built the ground. Glad Feltham and Frimley Green have gone as they were awful last year. We played Frimley and their midfield was woeful. Good center forward second half the and pretty good defence and keeper. Feltham were the opposite where all they had was a midfield. Bad keeper, defence and forwards

South Park are actually from Reigate not Redhill.

Surrey Legend - How can you possibly justify what you have just said? Both Frimley Green and Westfield would have known that you can't enter into a 'new' groundshare in order to be promoted or to retain existing status.

Teflon - I have no sympathy for Horley Town too. They may have a nice looking clubhouse complex, but really some of it is badly designed. The dugouts are in front of the seats in the stand - not much fun for most people in the stand is it?

Bedfont Green is a strange one, as the move to Yeading has got to be considered a new groundshare?

I visited Colliers Wood United on Saturday and they said the stand was ordered and that's all they needed to comply. There are apparently supply problems (remember Merstham?). Give them the benefit of the doubt.

Epsom & Ewell had a long term groundshare, but came from a superior Step Five league/division that had no relegation. As the FA dictated the straight sideways move, then criticism should not be aimed at the CCL Management.

I would imagine that the CCL are still trying to get FA approval for 24 clubs in the Premier, so two 'relegated' clubs will be reprieved.

If Epsom & Ewell were to finish bottom two or three in the CCLP at the end of the 2006-2007 and were relegated, then fair enough, they knew what was ahead and could have no complaints.

What some of you haven't recognised is the the ex Isthmian Two sides have been pushed from pillar to post all season, not knowing if IL2 was going to be scapped or not, and not knowing until 15th May that a move to CCL was going to happen, so we have all been in the dark for the whole season.

Apart from actually winning the IL2 (the only way to guarantee getting out of IL2), none of the clubs were in control of their own destiny. If all the current CCL clubs had got their grounds in order, then the FA would have had to think again. At least they did have some self determined destiny?

Also, when EEFC were relegated from IL1S two seasons ago, they applied for a move to the CCL and were placed in the IL2 against their wishes.

I think the CCL will be a much stronger league as a result of the changes. I hope that those teams and supporters currently disappointed can put this behind them and rebuild (literally for some) for the future and indeed help to continually build an even stronger CCL. The CCL was generally considered the weakest Step Five and Six leagues. I hope that the league can grow to be one of the strongest! We can only do that together!

Hi Nifty Nig,

I agree with your Horley Comments, may be it was complanciney (sorry i've been at the pub 2-0) that they thought they were too good to be relegated. I think all they had to do was build a stand and can't believe they didn't, may be there are other issue for them but it is still a suprise.

Don't know about the Ryman decisions but they had been well commented on.

I agree E & E were directed to the CCL last season.

All the clubs have to accept and move on how ever hard it is, Bookham would and still may (if not promoted) object but, in the end the clubs and league need to move forward.

Roll on the start of 2006/07 season as world cup winners. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smilewinkgrin.gif" alt="" />

Hi guys

Well we have been placed in Div 1 which has come as a bit of surprise to me especially as we were told that if we hadn't received a "letter" from the league then we would be "ok".

I hear that Bedfont Green were initially one of those to be relegated.

We "didn't" receive a letter and I think a few of the teams have threatened legal action - you can guess who they are

Again these are proposed constitutions for next season but unless the league gets raised to 24 teams then it looks like Div 1 for us <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

Anyway who are the teams in Div 1 such as Kingsmeadow, South Park?

Perhaps we should remember that the guys who run the CCL are only part time like the rest of us. They have had things dictated on them and they are then left to sort it out. There are always going to be clubs that are not happy with the outcome but I am afraid that is how it is and we have to get on with it.

Apparently the CCL where directed by the FA not to allow teams who had taken a ground share to stay in the Premier, hence Westfield, Frimley Green, Feltham were relegated because Bedfont Green had another ground inspection on the 13/06/06 which was passed as an A grade, never seen their ground so cannot comment if its good enough.

Also the FA where against increasing to 24 teams.

The proposals are not ratified until the teams vote on it at the AGM, anyone got any tickets??

Vote for Feltham !!!!! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />

I agree with the next post (Viking's old ground) where BG play is a sh*t hole and the deadline was 1/6/06 - not impressed <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/mad.gif" alt="" />

I believe Horley was also to do with no turnstiles so I've been informed
