The result of the CoCo League AGM was ...............................

that the AGM ratified the constitution with a Premier Div of 22 clubs as shown on league website. It took a while but there was a lot of heated and heart rending discussion & a quite a bit of acrimony.<img src="/forum/images/graemlins/argue.gif" alt="" />

YYYYYEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSS

Pleased for Bookham as no one seemed to want them promoted but the clubs voted and allowed this, disapointed there was now reprive for some of the other clubs.

Why did they not vote in Kingsmeadow ??????? <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

Morning,

From what I can remember it was basically for the fact that they had come from a Sunday League side. Also that they would have had to groundshare at Chertsey Town for the season until some planning application goes through for their Kingsmeadow ground. And we all know that groundshares are a bad subject!!!

Got to be honest and say that i would have preferred a 24 club league, basically because it would have meant more games in the season.

I actually think the Westfield Chairman didn't really help himself, or really the other demoted clubs cause. He rattled on for ages, never really made much of a point and i think he just annoyed everyone in the end!

I think it backs up the point that some of the better clubs wanted a shake up for the clubs with poorer grounds. On a personal level I really hope that 2 out of Frimley Green, Westfield and Horley come up.

Well as they haven't got a Senior side there next season there's probably no point really!

It'll be at Merland Rise, that's for sure!

Now that Frimley, Westfield and Horley have been condemed to div 1 footie next year (v. harsh in my opionon) do you think they get the work done straight away or wait to see if promotion is on the cards?

If they wait due to receiving smaller gates etc... and there is a delay at the end of the season in ordering stands etc... does anyone know of the situation if they try and groundshare again? (i know you can't retain prem status if groundshare but what about getting prem status?)

I think without a doubt Westfield + Horley will get the work done. Not sure about Frimley Green. It is a real struggle for them due to their pitch being in the middle of a Recreation Ground. Hope they do though. Be happy for Feltham to come back as well once they have their own ground.

Oh right, didn't know that was his nickname! Top man actually, have got a lot of time for him.

He had to take over the running of our Ressies for the last 10 or so games of the season and he had to play a couple of times himself! Thing is he said he wasn't the worst player on the pitch, not bad at 40 odd years old!!!

Top lad is Chopper, used to run and run when playing for Bookham and fully committed.

Left us because his boy was at MVP and ended up doing everything

His main prob is not knowing how to say no.

Good luck up at Merland this year, we have got you in a friendly early Aug.

Strange friendly against a side in the same division.

I agree normally we don't but it will give Bookham the chance to see how competative we are as we step up a grade.
Plus Banstead management stepped in late and it helped them out
