GRS67 Posted July 15, 2006 Share Posted July 15, 2006 My dear Krooner, sounds like a post I would have sent lol. I of course agree with you 100%. I am hearing good things at the WLG this season. The squad from last season have re signed, and with Stuart Blackburne banging in the goals and Rory Smith at the heart of our defence we should be very solid and hard to beat. Add to that some new faces and I think we can make a real challange. That said, I have not seen the quality of the teams in the divison, but I expect us and Hertford/Chalfont and a couple of teams who came close last season Hatfield being one of them to be the main challangers. Rhodes Posted July 17, 2006 Share Posted July 17, 2006 The SSML is far from a tin pot league, I think Edgware, Hertford, Kingsbury and Chalfont are all in for a rude awakening if they have that attitude and think they are going to have it easy. As Gavin says Hillingdon got to the FA Vase final from our league last term even if admitedly the draws were kind to them along the way and they were at home in virtually every round. Rhodes Posted July 18, 2006 Share Posted July 18, 2006 Average maybe but not tin pot, as I say I think the new teams from the Ryman Division 2 will be pleasantly surprised when the season starts and won't have it all their own way by any means particularly when they have to go to travel to the delights of Biggleswade on a Tuesday night in February. Why can't you be a bit more positive, Brook House used to be in it a couple of years back afterall and it hasn't done them any harm, Oxford City also really enjoyed it last season.
