What is a Canvey Island fan doing in the SSML Forum, is the Ryman Division 1 Forum that boring. This Paula sounds a bit of a sort, is anyone going to introduce me!

Er I'm embarrassed now Paula, hope I didn't offend you. Strangely enough I have a soft spot for Canvey and used to frequent games down there, I was at the FA Cup match with Dover when you were 3-0 down and won 4-3. What do you think of this Forum, it has really taken off hasn't it in a short space of time, you'll have to come to some games in the SSML next season, I'm sure you'll be well looked after and I'll certainly take you under my wing.

Yeah let us know if you want to come to the White Lion Ground to see Edgware play. I have never been to Canvey so if you come to an Edgware game I will go and see Canvey..

I like the new crest of Canvey, when did it change?

Hi Gavin & Rhodes.

Had to work today <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> and my access to this forum is blocked at work (cant think why lol)

Was that invite open to me too? <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

As for being offended that just don't happen with me - I have a great sense of humour and love the banter - like to feel I give as good as I get!

Canvey crest changed season before last - something to do with copyright issues with the old one.

Paula, well what can I say, I can't speak for Gavin but of course the invite is open to you, we can watch the footy and then I can perhaps wine and dine you afterwards, my treat, Burger King or MacDonalds. So you like this Forum, the SSML is a great league with real people and real football fans who care about the beautiful game at grass roots level, I feel the Conference is beginning to go the way of the Football League slowly but surely so perhaps you're better off in the Ryman.

Can I have chips (out of the paper please and then a pint of Cafferys or Boddingtons??)

Yeah good forum and friendly bunch (especially you dear).
Don't know whats happening with the Conference - they all seem to be either going into admin, experiencing financially or having problems with staff/management! Not good.

Paula you're not leading me on are you and getting me all hot under the collar. Yes you can have what you like, I suppose you're used to fish and chips in the wrapper coming from Southend way, I often go down to Southend but haven't been to Roots Hall for a while, I was going to go a few seasons back when you played there in the FA Cup but it was all ticket, I think there was 9,000 there. I suppose you will miss the local derbies next season with Grays and Dagenham but are Hornchurch and Thurrock in Ryman Division 1.

Hi, yes I remember the Southend game was live on Sky and I think the Port Vale game was on BBC1 when you beat them or was it Northampton, you've had a lot of Cup success over the years and it's a shame in a way it all ended in tears last season. Did you go to the two Trophy finals you were in and to Wigan in the FA Cup, you said you have only been going since 2000/2001 but those have been the best years in the Club's history, do you feel Jeff King did the dirty or are you grateful to him for what he did for the Club.

Hi RobbieO, welcome to the Forum... I'm sure there are going to be some very vocal post match 'discussions' this season.

RobbieO, take it you've heard the news, get ready to be pampered on 13 September, what buscuits do you like. I quite fancy our chances, you often don't travel well but obviously you start as odds on favourites. Gavin said he might come down if he's free but there will be a lot of games that week, Edgware may even be playing on the same night. Speak soon.
