now to make it even better, how many friendlies has chelmo won compared to are 2 wins and 0 losses, one thing that is so much noticable from last season, is that these boys actually can work for the ball, can play one touch with accuracy and have the passion to drive them onwards and upwards, great game and keep it up lads

Has anyone managed to speak to any of the players or management team after the match?

Fascinated to find out how they felt and what their reactions to the game were. Sounds as though they were well up for it.

From the report it sounds as though the crowd got behind the team from the off.

Didn`t speak to any of the players but from the smile on John Batch`s face i gather he thought things went well and who would argue with that.

I spoke to John Batch last night. He was very pleased and proud of the team's efforts. I think the players were a bit nervous before the game and wanted to put on a show.

What a performance. Every single player played there part. The passion shown by the lads was incredible, that was something that really stood out for me and something iv not seen for a long time by players in a canvey shirt.
Really impressed with Dave Kreyling, trialist NO.6 Matt Reade and Jay curran.

Thought the crowd was impressive considering it being a friendly and i know a fair few people who couldnt make the game. Looking forward to Tuesday already. Also im loving the kit! Much better quality and very good on the eye, defo be buying mine when its avalible.

OH its sweet beating the ricay.....AGAIN.
P.S Fair play to the ricay boys for thier kind words on thier forum, something i never thought i'd see but fair play to em.

Top class win by the sound of things and a pretty decent turn out for a friendly.

Well done lads...

What else can be said what hasn't been already.
Thought that every lad gave 100%. Seems like they are all proud to don the Canvey shirt!!
They all bonded well, few errors and gave Ricay a bit of a scare!
Leon has great talent as have many of the others (fraid I don't know exactly who's who yet).
Great to be back at the lane again watching the footie and am now looking forward to the first league game.
Think we will be more than able to hold our own.
Well done lads and thanks to John for making it all possible
