Tacticly Jeff has at times been naive, the quality of player he was able to finance to put on the pitch sometimes got results despite his decisions not because of them.

With the money Jeff had he also bought some crap or to put it more politely players who failed to live up to their ability and reputations.

You mean Dwayne Clarke!!!

*cough* *cough* - must admit I was thinking of you and your love, hate relationship with Canveys No1 winger when I wrote that

Bit worried about how many players we seem to be listing who never hit their full potential - you start to wonder how we did so well.........

I thought he was useless in all but about two games.

I don't think he was ever really played to best effect. Would have like to have seen him given more opportunities to run on to through balls, although without an adequate replacement for Ollie that was never going to happen.

He was given every chance in almost every position. The problem was he lacked commitment and he was lazy, I used to despair when he kept Johnny Keeling on the bench.

I just never got it, he never had one strength that you could look at and say ah well at least he is good at $^&$!! I know for a fact even a few players used to ask what is he good at, to get on the pitch!!
