The point I am making, though many of you seem to be too dense to notice,

If you came directly to the point some of use dense fans would understand what you are waffling on about. You now seem to be on about arrogance rather than history

is that prior to the season starting nearly 60% of you had no respect for the opposition and thought that you were going to walk it.

If you "read" most of the posts on this forum you would find that the underlying feeling was that we would not walk anything - in fact we were more interested in our club surviving. Although like most clubs there are fans who are extremely optimistic.

This poll was posted on the Canvey forum and you all just thought that you could walk every game. I didn't vote and I thought that it was a bit arrogant of Canvey 06 to start this thread. I also note that 2 of the top three clubs do not appear in his list.

Looks pretty stupid now doesn't it.

This thread looks dated - not stupid and it was you who chose to resurrect it. I'm sorry if Canvey 06 choice of clubs for the poll wasn't varied enough - but how was he to know who would and wouldn't be vying for the title? Until this season started I couldnt have told you that Harlow would be a top team. How was anybody to know - especially fans of a club that have no prior knowledge of this league in the recent past?if you know who is going to win then please let me know so I can put a few bob on down the bookies.

The poll was started in all innocence on a Canvey forum - so I would expect a slight bias. However, it never stopped anybody else voting so how can we be responsible for the stats?

Dated?

How can it be dated. The championship isn't even decided yet. If I were you I would put a few bob on Hornchurch. I dont think that Harlow have played anybody of note yet and I believe that they will struggle to maintain their current form. They rely on Marc Salmon and he must be over a hundred by now. Played for enfield in the early 80's.

I also wouldn't rule out Enfield Town though on current form that seems unlikely. Town have played 3 of the top 4 and 4 of the top 6 clubs and are still snapping at the heals of the one's above. Enfield have done well but I cannot see how they can sustain their current form.

It looks dated because we can now see who, potentially, the main challengers could be and some of those clubs listened don't appear to be potential challengers - including us on current form.

Salmon may be 100 but he is keeping Harlow on top and at the moment I wouldn't mind having a 100 year old striker like him <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

There is a long way to go this season. IMHO it appears that the majority of clubs seem to lack any form of consistency. One week they are pulling off a good result and the next they lose to what appears to be an easier game on paper - suppose thats what makes football the attraction it is......
