Paula - Do you fancy this do on 19 August or will it be too much of a rush for you after your home game that day, let me know as I'm sure BroxBoroBlue would sort us out and put us on the guest list.

Hi sexy, not sure what's going on yet on 19 August as I was hoping to have the fixtures by now, hopefully Kentish Town won't have a game and I'll be going to Bowers and Pitsea so we can get together. I was going to suggest you stay at mine if we do go to BroxBoroBlue's boogie session but haven't been able to work out where the do is, I assume Broxbourne but perhaps he could let us know. I haven't got a spare duvet at my place, does that matter.

No I think BroxBoroBlue will be okay about it and besides we haven't exactly got our zimaframes yet, will have to dust off my dancing shoes though if we do go. Good point about the duvet, you are certainly always hot in more ways than one. Catch you tomorrow before you go to the Southend game at Park Lane, what sort of crowd you expecting, over or under 1000.

Will be out early tonight - need to be at club for 6pm to sell the tickets. Speak later though or email me.

It was a hastily arranged match so only been publisied on Canvey website and Southend website as well as some posters on the Island.

We have been getting 300 for our friendlies so reckon 700ish will be a good turnout

Paula - You'll have our friend at Potters Bar Town after you exposing my true identity like that, normally I'm quite happy to be exposed by you as you know. Yes 19 August sounds good and it's a decent Club if I remember from my younger clubbing days, the only problem is that I see from the fixtures that were finally on here this morning Kentish Town are away in deepest Milton Keynes that day so we'll have to meet in London. I'll PM you later.

Potters Bar Town - Perhaps we should charge you and the likes of Gavin to watch with all funds greatly received and going jointly to Canvey Island and Kentish Town, I know we need a new set of shirts for next season infact if you can point me in the direction of a sponsor let me know. Your sponsors 'Lantern Recovery Specialists' must pump a fortune into Potters Bar, how did they get involved with the Club.

Rhodes - I don't do audiences!! Private showings only.
Plus we at Canvey don't need money from them kind of sources lol

Don't worry Paula, I'm only teasing Potters Bar Town and getting him all hot under the collar, that will teach him for having a go at Takumi and his supposed dying swan impersonations. Perhaps you can give me some ideas over pillow talk about raising funds for Kentish Town as it's good to share experiences, I know you sometimes go round with the bucket at Canvey Island but don't you get tight wads putting in threepenny bits and foreign coins when you're not looking. What else have you tried, a sponsored striptease perhaps or wet tee shirt competitions.

We have done sponsered walks - the lads walked from Canvey to Dagenham & Redbridge (bloody long walk), and a walk around the sea wall.
We have done 'awareness walks'. Met up at Canvey Town Centre and walked to the club with our 7 drums (noisy). We have 50/50 tickets, golden goal for the world cup, raffles, club nights and we have some good sponsers.
Last nights game against Southend raised a fair bit of money. Although it was not really advertised due to the latest in booking the fixture we had a turn out of almost 850!!!
Maybe we could discuss other ways of raising awareness . Look forward to talking it over with you soon!
