Very true Phil, I expect Biggleswade to be a great anti-climax! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

But it will still be another test for the lads much the same as Slade Green and Sevenoaks and the Yellow Army will have to be on top form once more! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

Good little write-up in tonights Echo but a word of warning if you intend on buying a copy, tonights paper also has a picture of our new shirt being held aloft by our new sponsor and modeled by Graig Davidson and Linney <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" />

I echo everything said in this thread, but I'd like to reiterate, I thought Wiseman was fantastic. My MOTM. Edgar is fast turning into my favourite player and I think we've got a very decent team in general.

Little bit disappointed with Bourney last night. Was concerned with a couple of his tackles, especially the one where he jumped into the Southend player and didn't win the ball. Can't really complain, though.

I was shocked that we beat the 800 mark last night. I was expecting 5-600, so (depending on how many Southend fans there were) I'd like to think there'll be 600 down the Lane every other week.

If last nights Southend X1 was their best side of course they would go down but they have a lot of better players in their squad and while it will be tough for them i hope they stay up this season.

Who knows we may be able to get a proper friendly with them next season which would draw over a 1000 if last nights attendance is anything to go by.

Something I forgot to mention about last night's game, that no-one else appears to have commented on yet... Gary Britnell's presence in the dugout!

First time I've seen him in there and he was virtually on the touchline through the entire second half, telling all the boys what to do and encouraging them to push forward. Think he was even on the pitch at one point! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

It was announced at half-time that Gary Britnell has been at a football tournament in Italy with 2 of our youth sides, both teams done well with one winning their final <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/affig.gif" alt="" /> Well done to all involved <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/applaus.gif" alt="" /> let`s hope some of those players progress to the first team in a couple of years.

Its great to see so much passion and pride coming from the dugout..

Our club is now being run by people who care about its future and not someone who was using it as a personal hobby..

There is now such a feel good feeling around the club i wish Mr King got bored with CIFC earlier..

Well done lads on your performance last night

Really want to put these type of posts to bed.
Yes there have been troubled times recently but the guy got the team to the Conf and finished on a high. He also provided us with an FA Trophy win, the spectacle of seeing us live on MOTD beating league opposition and some fantastic days out, which most other clubs will never have the experience to enjoy.

Most importantly, he has actually made us aware that there is a team and club on the Island, something prior to 1992 only a number knew about.

For goodness sake, let’s move on now. Yes it has been messy lately, but think of it as an era that was needed to wake the Island a little.

i also think its now time to bury the posts about JK & look forward to the future ok i was P****d off that he left & we drop from the conference & went to chelmsford because he thinks they have a brighter future & etc but look at the side we got i felt we have done well at the monent in pre-season & beat near enough a southend first team how on earth are they going to stay in the championship if most of thier first team cant beat us & cant wait for the flackwell game which will be my first <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> & hope that we can prove JK wrong that canvey can do well & progress step by step

I must admit that I actually want them to stay up <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" />

Tilly has been so good to us throughout our connection with him that I find it hard to wish him anything but success.
