Away to Kingsburyon Sat 2nd should be a good one, and early trip to 'tigers' and to see what if any difference the merger has made. Home to Harefield on Tue 5 should be interesting as they missed out on promotion only on GD.

Tue 19th home to Ruislip Manor, no dobut Lato will be at the game so we can meet and have a pint <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> I just noticed, sep 23rd it says Long Buckley in the Vase, erm.... we have the small matter of beating Hertford Town first which wont be easy.

All the other teams will be unknown to me, and Edgware have not played some of these teams before, so its all to look forward to.

I have a huge presentation to senior managers and directors at work the day after that BIG clash at the WLG so I could do with a couple of beers to settle me the night before.

Guys - I think you've all gone mad, sometimes I think I'm the only normal one in this Forum! Gavin - I see that you haven't got an encounter on Saturday 26 August, I bet you enjoy yourself so much at our game with Brache Sparta on the previous Wednesday that you will come to Claremont Road again for our match with Buckingham Athletic. I can't wait to see Potters Bar Town at one of our home games, I'll roll out the red carpet for him as I used to do at Haringey Borough.

Gavin and Lato - Remind me to be at least a hundred miles away on 19 September when you two get together and get going on this Peter Shoedindie character, personally I have never heard of him and even when I did a Google search nothing came up.

Will probably be slightly more interesting than listening to you defending that Japanese diver.

Paula - Er don't get me started, have you actually seen Takumi play. I honestly don't know what people have against Takumi, it is refreshing to have a Japanese player playing at our level (it must be a first) let alone someone as brilliant as him who is clearly selling himself short and should be at least Conference level. The diving thing is somewhat of a myth as although he admitedly goes down awkwardly when challenged a foul is a foul at the end of the day.

Rhodes sorry but Amersham Town had Japanese players in the Spartan league since at least 1996 while at Manor we had Kats in 2003 and of course Tomoyuki Totani between 2004 and 2006 who had previously played in the J-League and was an extremly talented player. Anyone who saw his golas at Bedford and breathtaking assists v Staines, Langford and Harpenden will testify to that.

Ake may have ability but on the two occasions I saw him he spent more time trying to win free kicks by conning the referee than winning the game. And a foul is only a foul if the referee gives it!!
