Paula - Have I got some competition. Irons - No go to Oxhey Jets, you'll love it, they're really nice hospitable people down there and the team isn't that good, Concord Rangers will stand a great chance of winning the game and getting through to the Preliminary Round to play Aveley away.

No competition luv - just being the friendly person that I am.
Looks like the way Concorde are playing of late that ther'll have no problems getting through to the next round.

Morning love, just sent you a PM. Er I wouldn't be so sure of that, I was just trying to persuade Irons to go to Oxhey Jets so he wouldn't turn up at Park Lane on Saturday and you chat him up over a coke and two straws as he sounds quite young, it will be a difficult game to say the least and Oxhey will use every trick in the book to get through.

Paula - Here's the Oxhey Jets v Concord Rangers report (if you can call it that) from Oxhey's Website, I wonder if that guy Irons got to the game or not and if so whether he got out alive:

Oxhey Jets added a new proud chapter to their history books, when they defeated Concord Rangers 3-0 at the Boundary stadium on Saturday, to record their first ever FA Cup Win. Jets looked a different side to the mid week team that had lost to Harpenden. Fired up from the start Jets were on top and pushed for the early opener. Two goals for the lively Paul Turner who is getting married next weekend put Jets in a winning position at half time. Manager Benny Higham and First team coach Phil Ralston were quick to emphasise that the hard work was still infront of them at the break and rallied the team for more effort. Chris Ingham's deflected free kick sealed the historic win for the club, which was only marred by the late dismissal of Mitchell Murphy who had come on as substitute with twenty minutes to play.

Full match report to follow. A bit of history for the Jets again, we won our first ever FA Cup tie so the Wembley dream lives on at Jets as well as the FA.

Do we know why Oxhey Jets pitch was unplayable today, there was no rain in the area as we were playing nearby in Watford.

It appears that work to improve the pitch during the summer has not been to successful and left patches and gullys on the pitch which has been filled with sand.A couple of seasons back the pitch was relaid by cowboys and they put the clay back after drainage was put in and the pitch got waterlogged a lot.As far as I know the club were successful in their legal battle to get the work put right, but it sounds as if its all gone Pete Tong.

Phoinex - Thanks for that, very surprising that their founder Mr Elliott would be ripped off by cowboys, he's the sharpest guy I know and started the Club up from nothing, turning it into what it is today.
