We had to play this home game at Northwood for various reasons, but it didnt stop the boys from turning it on. We went one nil down after only 5 mins but them woke up. Some of the football played was superb. Since the team has been under the Knolageable eye Mark Warburton ( UEFA `A` Coach) they have gone on to a far more tecnical game. After the game George Pantin ( Middx Chairman) came into the changing roon to tell the boys that it was the best youth football he had seen in YEARS and that we deserve to go on and win it (lets see). All in all it was a great night. <img src="/forums/images/icons/cool.gif" alt="" />

Mark Warburton?

Is that the Mark Warburton who won the Players' Player of the Year trophy in EFC's first Conference title having scored a crucial goal at Boston when the two teams were battling it out head-to-head?

For those who are too young to remember, Boston were unbeaten at home all season. We won 2-0, with the first goal coming from a totally mis-hit cross which Boston keeper Kevin Blackwell let sail over his head into the net.

I was at the 40th birthday of an EFC fan and schoolmate of Warby recently and no-one knew what he was doing these days.

Thanks for the info.

I'll have to try to get to a youth team game to renew acquaintances. And take the p*ss mercilessly.
