Just to get back to where things started and keep this thing going I back Canvey to take the title.<P>Going on the way they looked last week in the FA CUP.<P>My boyz Enfield will finish up mid table

The temperature at Canvey is usually several degrees lower than surrounding areas. Something to do with the open flat spaces around I should think.<BR>I should say that this subject is just about worn out now..The answer is Nobody Concedes Just Yet. I will ask again at Christmas. You all wont have much choice by then anyhow. <BR>Thats two subjects I have posted and they have had the most posts. Where would you be without me (bored I think, how about a Thankyou Carjam subject). Where would you be without Gravesend & Northfleet, Top of the league perhaps. I think that the league will be decided very late on this year. I can see the top three or four teams (Canvey, Shots, G&N, + a possible surprise) running away at the top. We are very consistent at the moment and can't see anybody taking te title off of us.

Looking at our next 8 league fixtures I think we will comfortably get 14 out of a possibe 24 points that would give us 42 points and neatly loop us back to where it all started against Sutton United. <P>Based on that guesstimate and the fact that teams that were struggerling in August still are I predict a top six finish for us!! Many of us would have been happy with mid table. I think our strength will be, we have four forward players who can all score goals but are versatile in other positions. <P>Any takers?

Well at least you got some interest going on these pages. As for Aldershot I felt a bit sorry for them last night. They had more than there fair share of the play. They were also the biggest team (man for man) that I have seen in years. The Gravesend first goal was disputed, that was one big goalmouth scramble. The ref was close though so I expect he had a view. The winner was a defensive error and from then on Gravesends game plan was simply to sit on it and score again on the break. Ultimately it worked.

I still have a soft spot for the shots. If the Fleet sre promoted I only hope that you follow shortly afterwards.

Your supporters made plenty of noise and did not behave badly, as some expected. The conditions were awful so it must have been a sad journey home. I doubt that you will loose again.<p>Car Jam

I concede, but maybe...if..<p>Personally I hope the Fleet win it (if we can't), as I think they're the better team. And Canvey have had their FA Cup glory this season anyway (Can't be greedy can you ?)<p>Anyway Hants cup here we come!<p>
