By now we all understand that USA, GB and French intervention in the East is strictly in order of selfish needs, oil and other minerals or strategic location of military bases.
And of course in the case of our own labour party government the desire to keep close to the rear end of Bush.
History will demonstrate that the only logical solutions to the problems in the East will be found and implemented by the indigenous governments, the Arab League and the Israeli’s must come to terms where they accept the existence of Israel and the acceptance of a Palestinian state.
The last 57 years have clearly demonstrated that outside influence and financial support has achieved zero in terms of lasting peace.
We must only support moves that bring Arab, Israeli and Palestinian together and withdraw support for any other actions.

Hear Hear. We agree for once PA !!

Having said that, I can't help feeling sorry for Lebanon. After all, it WAS Israel that crossed their border.

Agreed pabird, except of course that Israel would not exist in the first place if not for Western intervention.

And we cannot be held to ransom for oil which we need as much as air and water. Fair price, no more and no less.
