afc sudbury are the biggest club in the league, they ahve won more than all the others, and hornchurch are the best team in the league with sudbury(i think)

got over the defeat yet chaps, don't worry too much about it as tilbury are b*stards to play against but i will look forward to your next defeat.

And i do hope you take the p1ss out of us should we lose to the cockers, sorry dockers!!

this new hornchurch team can only win the competitions they enter. i thought we were unlucky in the fa cup and vase last season, but still managed to win the treble, plus a preseason tournament.

thats 4 trophies a year since we were formed.

the spirit of the club is pretty much the same as before
I don't go much for new clubs & names, the fans are pretty much the same and so is the club!
(plus,you know what i mean)
and i am sure they have won the ridgeons 5 or 6 times since then!!

What a load of Boll^x, Phoenix clubs can not take someone elses history unless they take debts et al.

I suppose we can say the independant Man United can claim to be the biggest club in the world now!!!

the fans are the same, the clubs officials may be different, they may not,but to those fans it will still be the same club as they supported before, the name is slightly different and the debts have gone but they will still get up on a saturday morning and go to watch their favourite team

he is right to a certain extent but if canvey had gone bust and reformed at fc canvey you would all still go,probably to the same ground

the basics of supporting a team would be the same, you would still have the same local rivals as always, same friends at matches, the only thing that would be different is the name and probably the people running it.The spirit of the fans would still remain

And? the spirit of the fans didn't win anything. We didn't reform anyway, so that's not worth discussing.

By the way, what was it you were saying about our attendance yesterday? Lower than our game vs. Flackwell Heath, wasn't it?

mob - fc yanited, enfield town & afc wimbledon are different cases because the original club still exists. surely you can see that, or are you just fishing?

so does the original Hx treeboy...HFCL was formed in 2002 and was liquidated in 2005. The original constitution of a non limited members club was never adopted because one member abstained from the vote in 2002. (well done son as it turns out) Thereby a new constitution was formed that lasted 30 months. The original constitution remained and is now part of the new limited company. The continuity continues from 1923..

in any event this thread is not about who should have done what...its about canvey being relegation material which they are from what I can see and is also why MOB and Co have turned their vitriol towards us and other clubs who have had difficulties. They won't mention of course their own fall from grace and the fact that they are not the original club either...

but then most of them aint been there long enough to know that have they....

good innit... and they have to come to us in a few weeks time....(cue major abuse from the baying ('mob')....

Yes but we would not be able to claim the history or past achievements.

"Fishing" I thought wew were talking football!!

I have chosen an example so a snot to offend anyone.

Airdrieonians FC played in four Scottish Cup Finals, winning the cup in 1924. In 1992/3 they played Sparta Prague in The European Cup Winners Cup - losing only 3-1 on aggregate! They ceased to exist in 2002.

Me and my mates get together and set up AFC Aidrieonians, I can now say I own a club, that won the scottish cup final.

Meanwhile all those poor B^rstards that lost their life savings own bugger all.

You cannot claim someone elses history. If however me and my mates get together and pay off all the old debts and purchase the name etc etc. Then thats another story!!

To all intents and purposes, we could still be playing Conference football.

hmmmm...once you get rid of that type of arrogance you may well survive....but don't bank on it...

in the meantime 'mob' you have 'bayed' old chap...unsubstantiated comments about directors statements that can be 'dragged from the archives'....

dunt fink so.....we are what we are......and so are you guys but we know our history....do you...?

this thread is about what you are NOW... a team relegated because of financial irregularities and let us not forget that although it was done with the cooperation of the conference and the ryman you were in breach of conference pay scale rules once kingy announced his intentions to leave so therefore you acted before you were dumped...you were insolvent the same as others that you deride... and are now a relegation candidate team losing to pub sides...

so why drag us into it.... we are promotion candidates....

canvey a big club.....?

see you in a few weeks...

goign back a few posts,i said that when you play tilbury the crowd wouldn't be bigger than flakwell heath,i didn't realise you were playing them yesterday,i thought it was a couple of months down the line and was just using it as an example that if your results didn't pick up then the crowds would dwindle slightly, isn't rocket science.

yesterdays crowd was very impressive but was obviously swelled by the fact only conference teams and below were playing yesterday so a few southend, west ham etc etc obviously turned up. Had hornchurch of played say aveley at home i would of expected a similar crowd if not more at the bridge.

Heres to a good evening on the forum me thinks!

How is that arrogance? We played football for two years and if we could afford it we still would be. We left voluntarily as it would have destroyed our club staying in that league.

How you can suggest we're relegation candidates after four games, I don't know.

Oh just sod off and accept you were wrong. Even after you realised we were playing them yesterday you still said our crowd wouldn't be above the 433 we had for Flackwell Heath.
