Canvey Island 0-2 Tilbury

And you continue to talk crap. If you want to say we went 'skint' in that context, then I'll accept that, but I won't accept we're 'whimpering'. I'm sorry, but when you've seen your club go from obscurity to become the best part-time club in the country in fourteen years, you become arrogant and you do, believe it or not, become a big club. We've won a lot and I'm not about to suggest you or anyone else hasn't, but that doesn't mean we aren't the biggest club in this league.

Look at Notts Forest. They've won the European Cup twice and are languishing in the third division. They're bigger than every team in that league and probably most of the league above that. Similar story for Sheffield Wednesday.

Stop trying to wind me up, 'cause it's bloody working!

in the meantime 'mob' you have 'bayed' old chap...unsubstantiated comments about directors statements that can be 'dragged from the archives'....

this thread is about what you are NOW... a team relegated because of financial irregularities and let us not forget

so why drag us into it.... we are promotion candidates....

canvey a big club.....?

1 I never made any reference to Hx, I was refering to two other examples (deliberatly left your lot out of it)!!!

2 We were not relegated because of irregularities, (we requested to drop down at Mr Kings request)I am sure Mr King will be delighted to hear that is what you saying!!

3 Nobody dragged you into anything!! In fact I have not made any comments to you or your club in some considerable time!!

Ribbit this is typical behaviour, you try saying similar stuff on other sites and see what happens!!

I learnt some time ago, its best not to cross swords as there is no rational argument!!

Paula is right ignore them, they will get bored and go back to their own site or at least annoy another!!

I hope you chaps are going to bring a few down to us when we meet next month in whatever cup it is!

we were taking 200 plus away to places like hullbridge and tilbury last season in the small cup comps, lets see if your away support is anywhere near as good as ours!!

You should know me by now. Since I've been here I've had arguments with (in order) Glen, Benny, yourself and now these two!

We never went skint and we were never insolvent!

We made adjustments to a Limited company based on annual projected turnover. That is good business!!

sorry...but conference and FA files say differently...your backer bailed out and left you in the lurch...you were technially insolvent...wholly reliant on one mans whims and in breach of conference pay scale regulations and jumped before you were pushed...its all the same game mobby wobby....only double standards get in your way...

insolvent is insolvent regardless of how you rap it all up on here...

but then again I wouldn't expect you gung ho 'forum experts' to have understood what was going on in the real world...why bother when you can 'read it all on the forums'....

To be quite frank, I doubt it! We've taken about 80 to our first couple of away games. It depends how well we're doing at the time, I suppose.

OOps! wrong again we were not technically or legally insolvent, unlike others, we (the current board)purchased a limited company with no debts, very little assets, but not insolvent!!

Nobody lost money (except Mr King)and there were no unpaid creditors!!

Therefore our assets outweighed our debts, SOLVENT!!!

so you are admitting we are a bigger supported club then

I'm not even going to defend people on Canvey. The majority aren't interested and for that I lay the blame 40% at Mr. King's door, 40% at Castle Point Council's door and the other 10% is people who just don't care enough about football. Probably more than that who don't care, but you see what I mean.

Two games last season we had under 550 and one was lower than 400. Disgraceful for the Conference. Out attendances have long been a problem.
