An Explaination

Ribbit

Recommended Posts

I'm sorry for threatening to stab Hornchurch fans. I'm sorry for any threats I've made, or anything that can be called a threat.

I had had a bad day and, as MOB has said, did have a lot to drink. I'm not by any means trying to excuse myself, but I shall go on.

I haven't got much in my life, but five years worth of clinical depression is going to do that. I've been incredibly low before, but at the moment I can't cope with the stress I suffer at work and I feel worse than ever. I have always had a short temper and thus am a volatile person. I can't help that and I apologise for that too.

I am a loyal Canvey fan and there's no way I'd ever incite, or attempt violence at, or around the ground. Though I can have bad reactions, I always try to avoid confrontations. I've never had a fight outside of school and I'm not one to shout my mouth off, but things build up.

I've had my fair share of arguements on here before (slightly similarly when I threatened to punch Benny) but this one didn't really involve me until I made that comment. For that I can't even suggest that there was anything even remotely just in saying it.

As I said, I haven't got much in my life, but CIFC is the biggest. I haven't got any real mates and I go weeks without having a real conversation. I'm so hurt by the comments that I have made that I feel like crying. I can't afford for my life to become anymore hollow, or anymore lonely, so risking my place at Park Lane and even here in the forums isn't something I can forgive myself for. I'm disgusted with myself and won't be stepping out of line again.

I can understand people coming here and accusing me of merely attention-seeking as I've had that problem before, but that isn't the case. I've had a few PM's from various people and I felt that I needed to explain myself fully. I didn't think an apology alone would get me anywhere, as you'd all still look upon me with resentment. I needed to do this for both myself and everyone on here.

Once again, I apologise to anyone I insulted, or threatened. I'm sorry.

well done son....full marks for that post from me...

life can be tough and football clubs can make us all emotional....sometimes too much and we are all guilty as charged in that respect...

being alone is a frame of mind...the worlds full of people...come down on the 12 and introduce yurself and we'll have a beer...

We've all been through that at some time in our lives I know I have. I've lost count at the amount of times I've 'bitten' at a comment somebody has made on here after a bad day at work.

Very courageous thing of you to do. I hope your statement puts an end to some of the nonsense we've had on here recently.

Good lad Ribbit.

Perhaps now you have been good enough to come on here and apologise for your comments we can now bring all this rubbish to an end.

It takes two to tango however and perhaps as has been said before, ESU should remember that it was his comments over a long period of time that caused all this in the 1st place and that most people are sick of him coming on here simply to wind people up and cause trouble.

We all want to support our clubs, let's just do it in a positive manner eh?

Top man Ribbit, YELLOW is right, that was very courageous of you. You know what you said was wrong but many others would not have publically apologised, you're one of the good guys.

You're not alone either, you'll be welcomed to PM any of us, if you know who we are or not, if you need to get something off your chest or just want to talk about nothing. The Yellow Army never leaves a man behind!

Just read this after my comments on another thread. Well done Ribbit. Good on ya. I knew you wouldn't get your butter knife out on someone anyway.

I've made a few comments about you being in your pants watching Arnie movies. I promise they were just for a laugh to demonstrate how you WOULDN'T do something like you said you would.

But my comments stand and any more comments made about the situation after this are just blantant attempts to start sh*t again.

Lets leave it alone and concentrate on our victory dance after the Hornchurch victory! Ha ha!

Time will tell how serious you apology is and if you have actually truly learned anything from this whole situation in due course, eh ESU?

I don't want to blame anyone else. Yes ESU had wound me up, but I didn't have to say that. I could have just told him to f**k off. I don't blame anyone but myself.

You have admitted you were wrong and you were to do something like that, thing is, you have now apologised and your apology has been accepted by all concerned so put it behind you now mate.

Everybody here knows that ESU has provoked many a situation here and this was a direct result of his actions, so hopefully one lesson he will learn from this is that his idea of "banter" is not amusing or funny to all and can lead to escalating situations like we have just experienced.

Perhaps we can all now move on and put all this behind us?

I've kept my thoughts to myself on this sorry little saga but it takes a brave man to apologise in the manner that you have Ribbit.

I'm not going to judge you - as I try not to judge anybody on this forum. Your comments about knives, although I never read them, were stupid but you realise that. Ther's been plenty of sound advice posted on here after your apology.

There's a lot of debate on what is banter and getting someone to "bite" - persoanlly I find it all a bit childish and some people who come on here walk a thin line between being clever and being stupid. Hopefully, a few people have learned a lesson from all this but my main advice is not to rise to it.

Hopefully, you'll continue to post your thoughts on the club and team. As mentioned elsewhere make yourself known? particularly at away games where most of the people on this forum go - Sudbury away has got to be a good start.......

look lads,i will stay off here unless i have something constructive to say,i am not a monster, just enjoy a wind up and after all thats happened maybe it went too far,i just think that certain people(i wont name any names) instead of getting all defensive and making references to peoples family or masturbating experiences could just ignore it or come out with something that wouldn't of made the matter worse as seems the case.
