He's got a point. Whilst I appreciate what Jeff did for this club, he also threw it all back at us and we're more or less back where we started. It's like the last decade never happened. I don't appreciate that.

Oh we know we`re not in the Conference anymore and it`s always nice to win a cup but as i`ve explained before i can`t get excited about this competition and it seems i`m not the only one

they are played to a finish ie ET then pens

I would suggest most teams take it very un-serioulsy as its a mickey mouse competition.
However this year the league have spiced it up with some very contrived fixtures.

maidscum at Tonbridge is an old rivalry and I would think Ramsgate v margate will be a bit tasty. ALtough it means nothing a s a competition there are some huge bragging rights at stake for the fans

bollox, that is an insult to the league and its cup competitions, about time some people realised that this isn't the conference and it could be a long time till you are back there, same as us.I want to win things not finish half way up a league and relying on a big cup game every 5-10 years!

Can you please explain what this has got to do with us having been in the Conference, it`s not like we are bragging that we are going to win this cup or the league, we are just happy to be here.

sorry,it just seems that some(not all) are still in conference mode, that this is a mikey mouse game, thats rubbish,it is possibly the only cup competition afc hornchurch or canvey could possibly win but it seems some people would rather lose a game,i always thought the objective of a football team was to win games

If you read that post carefully you will see it`s not from a Canvey fan it`s from a Tonbridge Angels (i believe) fan.

it does seem rather contrived looking at the fixtures, but if the priority of canvey is staying in business and making money this season (£9.00!!), then if all the gate money is split 50/50, then surely it is in their interests not only to want to progress in the competition, but also to promote it in order to maximise as many income streams as they can get?

or just stick out the reserves in the hope that the 1st team play well in the fa cup...

There is a far greater financial incentive if we have a decent FA Cup run. A derby match before the Lowestoft game could easily cause a couple of injuries, something that we would be keen to avoid.

Besides, we will have a lot of good young players out there tonight who have had to wait for their chance, there is nothing to say we may not get a result.

I'm not saying I would like us to lose, I would never ever want that to happen. I would just like to beat you with our squad team

Yeah, thats right. Lets not have a go at Kingy. Lets just kiss his ar*e again for making us drop down 3 leagues. Yeah, coz we would never have got that far without him and we also wouldn't be playing Ryman league football again if it wasn't for him too. You lot just kiss his ar*e even know he almost ripped this club apart and it was the fans who saved it again.

Would you do that to a thief if he nicked your wallet and stabbed you in the back and then gave the wallet back again?

I honestly as a supporter of 13 years and a lot longer than most of you, do not understand what you have to be grateful to him for anymore if he took it away (all for more money) as quickly as we got it. As a very loyal supporter, I do not care for the reasons you give if they are just to praise him for ruining our climb through the leagues. You obviously love being fu*ked over coz i cant see it any other way.

See that you have come on with your usual effing and blinding bluster Chalky and to think that I am paying my taxes to get you educated as well, tut, tut...

Other people have a right to an opinion and if you cannot accept that, that is tough on you too.

Whatever makes you happy Chalky, do yourself a favour and copy your post into Word then it will save you typing it out over and over again

"Supported this club 13 years blah blah blah, Jeff has ripped the heart out of the club blah
blah blah" you only ever seem to post the same message

Look who's talking Ronin. At least i'm passionate for the right reasons and not sucking up to him like all the others. So what if i repeat myself? It's the same issue isn't it dummy?

All i hear from you lately about things like this Ronin are preachy comments about how people who feel hard done by Jeff's comments should be quiet. Who are you too tell us how to feel when it WAS wrong? Your just a Jeff cronie coming out with comments like you do.

This is a forum isn't it? We can vent our feelings and frustrations cant we? Or are we gonna be governed by people like you and Jeff who put their weight about and think they can have the definative say. Not gonna happen with me mate. Simple as that.

Was that original enough for ya or do you want me to cut and paste that into Word for ya and send it in an e-mail so you dont forget?

can we stop this effing bitching we as supporters are meant to be one big team supporting our favourite team and cheer them on, if the players were reading this, can you imagine what they must be thinking, now cut it out and lets cheer on our team and supporters postively, otherwise this is going to sprial out of control
