Apparently, one of the players who has signed for Canvey is current Gillingham winger Ty Gooden. Ty's brother Ian players for Concord Rangers, and he is originally from the Island. I was gonna put the write up of him on this post, but the tight gits at Gillingham won't let you copy from there site. If you wanna have a look, the page is:

http://www.gillingha...ayer_profiles/0,,10416~8695,00.html

However, Jeff said that Ty was NOT the major signing that people had been talking about, so I can only assume it is someone big!

You know Merv should enjoy his arrival! He taught Ian & Ty at Winter Gardens school!!!

I'm showing your age now Merv!!!

One thing with the new Transfer System is if we sign a player from a Football League club in the next couple of weeks, they may still not be allowed to arrive till June when their contract at their current club expires, (this only applies to free transfers). If we buy a player from a Football League club then they will arrive next week or if we're too late and the window closes then we'll have to wait till June for that player also.

Another thing is that we could've signed a player back in September or even August and they still wouldn't arrive till their contract expires next week, (once again this only applies to free transfers/Football League clubs).

I just hope he didn't teach him PE, cos we'd all be in trouble then!

Does no-one listen to me?!

I can hear the crowds now - "Are you Dicksy in disguise?"

Wasn't Justin Edinburgh suposed to 'retire' through an achilles 'injury' and then join us? Look where his is now!

I wish we could get him in the form of someone 10 years younger!!!

T1K better than Pearce? not in the record books not in his England career and not in his club medal collection
Pearce played at the very top of the international game and earned his reputataion worldwide
