Canvey v Lowerstoft

Hate to be the doom monger, but it could have been more. There were two very good shouts for handball, both of which would have been penalties. The second one could even have seen us reduced to ten.

Didn't think we played badly on the whole, but the defence wasn't there again and our crossing was woeful overall. I hope to see better against Maldon on Monday.

Sadly you brought this on yourselves. Hopefully the lesson you will learn today is that EVERY game is worth winning - even League Cup games.

Don't be such an idiot. We do try to win every game, but it's extremely difficult to play our best team in all the time. We've got a squad for a reason and with the amount of games we will be playing this year, we have to prioritise the important fixtures and thus the one's to play our first-team in.
We lost today and there's no way we would have known that on Tuesday, but if John had picked Dobbo and Ruggy and Curran, we could have suffered a serious injury and been mauled today.

As it is we lost anyway, so that's irrelevant. We can't change the past. We can, however, look to the future and concentrate on the league. Well, at least until we play
aldon in the Trophy.

Why did George Blewer go off?

I don't know, I thought he was doing alright. Quite funny when they subbed him - I turned round to my mate and said "Great, we're putting a f*****g defender on for a f*****g stri... defender." <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

Way it goes mate. First half we were alright, second not so good.

We could have put out our first team on Tuesday and still lost. Unfortunately we will never know.
