Probably best to leave it Sid. Emotions are running high tonight. Always dissapointing when you've been beaten in the cup but life goes on.

Knew it wasn't going to be our day as soon as Jay Curran's first effort hit the post and bounced back to the 'Keeper's arms. So much dominance in the match that had little effect on the end product.

Lowestoft could count themselves lucky not to be at least 2-0 down at half-time with the amount of chances we had and the amount of dents there must now been in the woodwork.

Second half we lost our width and all three of their goals came from around the same area of the pitch. Their first goal was classy, even I clapped at that effort, but he should never have been allowed to get off a shot like that.

Equaliser was a big relief and the amount of pressure we put on them I felt confident that we could score a second. That was until some piss poor defending allowed them two easy goals against the run of play. Those two goals made Lowestoft step it up and they closed us down quicker, with us having to revert to the long ball again and again. For the third I hope the ball was swerving away from Ricky, because from where I was standing he seemed to step aside and let it fly past rather than throw himself at it in an attempt to take the sting out of it.

Our end product in the box was not good enough and I never thought I'd say this, but we should've tried to take a leaf out of their book by trying to walk the ball in rather than those wasted 20 yard sailed efforts into the car park.

That was on the field...

Off the field, there always has to be one moronic away fan who has too much to drink and ruin the day for the rest of the Lowestoft fans with a racist comment.

You could tell at 2pm that they were enjoying the day in the bar, (how did they manage to confiscate pints out of the bar let alone around under the shed?) and while none of them meant no ill feelings towards us fans, it took that one comment to make it turn sour.

Thanks to the stewards for retrieving my wallet though! I'll put the photos I took today on here tomorrow.

Generally the Lowestoft fans were alright but some of the songs they were singing about Chelmsford and us nearly going bust were downright out of order.

If I had gone in the bar at Hornchurch soon after their financial problems and sung songs like that I would most probably have been thrown out!!!

I think we ran out of steam when our early atempts to score failed.

Ricky is an improving keeper but he must learn to look before throwing the ball out at times he put us under pressure!!

apart from that our lack fitness and stamina is staring to show in the last 20 mins!!

Maybe the bar should be out of bounds between training and games!!

the 3rd goal was going into his arms but took a deflection on west

Ta, I saw it take a wicked swerve, but didn't realise it hit a Canvey player, from the angle I saw it from.

Their second though was appalling, how was he allowed so much time on the ball and allowed to run that far into our area without ANYONE making a challenge!?

Also, what's wrong with Crow?

Both Arlesley and Tilbury managed to take advantage of exactly the same opportunity....

Whats worrying is that is becoming a bit to frequent where we are caught either flat or drawn to far across with little cover IMHO

Photos online here. If they're too big just click on the picture to view a smaller version.

(Apologies for the blur on the first one, I had Dobbo in focus, but Ruggy got in the way!)

all 3 goals we had ourself to blame!!!!

blewer on the first shooting from 45yards when he had far better options to pass then from the goal kick they win the header and the guy is in, great finsh tho couldnt of got any more in the top corner

the 2nd goal, i think was a bad choice by the management, to take off blewer who was doing ok and replace him with lamb cost us the goal, lamb was the wrong side of his man and dont have the pace to recover and get back arcoss him. there was no need to change him!!

and the 3rd what was west doing!! taking a touch in the box then trying to do to drag backs and beat a man!! as a defender your job is to defend first! its not the first time he has done this but now he has cost us a goal he might learn!!

One thing i noticed when you played Hornchurch last tuesday, was your defence and midfield tried to play there way out of defensive area and often got caught out, especially the no.8 on the day.

Is this a game play left from the conference days and the current players are not as skiful to carry it off.

Here's something for you to consider Serious Sid,

Be kind to the people on the way up because you'll meet them on the way down.
