FAO Lato @ Rak

Recommended Posts

Rak - Fair comment, I didn't realise it was his first game back but just felt had he played from the start you might have won 4 or 5-0. Is he likely to get a start on Thursday do you think, if so I'll instruct our players to go easy on him in the Don Revie style dossier on your players I am currently working on.

If i was in the KT camp i'd be telling them what every other manager would say to his players.. nail him early as he's a tricky, diving little f*cker!

Takumi doesn't dive anymore if he did at all, it was just the way he went down following the filthy tackles he constantly had to endure, particularly at Haringey, that gave the impression he was a diver. As Thurday's game is only a friendly there will be no need to insert the usual steel into our game, if we win 4-3 and Takumi, or Rak for that matter, gets a hat trick that will be fine by us.

It's hard to dive from the dugout <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

If this is anything to go by the November poll promises to be every bit as good as October.
Cracking start Rhodes old bean.

Malds, Takumi is likely to get a run out as he's returning from injury. As they are playing a team so much lower it is the perfect game to ease back into it without too much effort.

NeutralFan - Obviously you are trying to get a reaction from me there, we are hoping to be where Hendon currently are in about four seasons so tomorrow evening will be the perfect yardstick for us. We also have some of the toughest tacklers in the business, Tommy Smith and Billy Bremner style, but as I said I will instruct them to go easy tomorrow particularly on Takumi.

I know about your 'tough' tacklers, remember I watched them try and kick Hertford to pieces in the pre season friendly when they were getting outclassed...

NeutralFan - That's a little below the belt, we can be hard if we want to be but we're always fair, we weren't getting outclassed in the legendary friendly, you caught us cold and we went two goals down after eight minutes. We then needed to take action to shut up shop which we did successfully thanks to Clement Temile's tactics, to only lose 2-1 to a team of your calibre and score arguably the goal of season into the bargain before the season had even started still hasn't received the huge credit it deserves.

I think if you look back at the post prior to the game you will find I wasn't the only one that made that observation. Remember the fact we only scored two didn't reflect the times we carved KT apart in the first half wheras you guys scored a miracle goal and maybe had one other shot in the whole game.

Well I don't know how you can say that, we were given a wonderful opportunity by Hertford Town Football Club to visit Hertingfordbury Park to show what we could do against a SSML Premier Division Club and we did ourselves proud in no uncertain terms. Hertford also gave us the night of our lives hospitality wise and we are still very much in their debt.

As I recollect from what people said on here, you took a complete stuffing in the first half and only got back into it when the usual plethora of friendly match substitutions occurred. And even then, Kentish Town only scored with one of those efforts that flies high, wide and handsome 98% of the time. Even though I wasn't there, the evidence is pretty conclusive that you were completely outclassed by a side only one division above you.

Come to think of it, when did Kentish Town last beat a side from a higher division than them? (Please note, Ruislip Manor Reserves play in the Suburban League).

How many of your players got booked in that game???????
We had three players booked by the pernickety Referee that night and have had the fine paperwork through which hasn't done us any favours, two of those players are now on their fourth bookings of the season when it would have only been three.
