Ha Ha And Bad Egg used to be a taxi driver. So much for 'the knowledge'.

Steph I make you right. Every time we played at Dulwich or Sutton I always ended up at Waterloo instead of Victoria, Charing Cross instead of London Bridge. I can never work it out.

Its Russ & Mark C that I feel sorry for. If memory serves me right didn't somebody do that before in the days of Ford Utd ? . cant remember who though.

And to make it worse Romford just happened to be playing ETFC that day

One recollects a tale of many years past when A coach party of Fulham faithful ventured out towards Cambridge United , As the driver steered his vehicle towards the A12 The faithful began to ask the driver shouldn't we be going in the direction of the A10 ,The driver rebuffed their question and retorted I know where I'm going I have been a coach driver for almost 30 years ,Still the faithful questioned the accuracy of the destination and still he insisted he knew where he was going ,As the coach turned off towards COLCHESTER a mutiny then broke out .with the driver threatened with a lynching. The driver had indeed headed towards the wrong ground. A quick detour occurred as the driver was forced to change course.

Didn't a similar thing happen to a coachload of Northwich fans returning from a midweek London Conference game (Dagenham?) who found themselves in Norwich at midnight!

Anyone rememeber the tannoy announcment at an Enfield away match.(Bromley, i think)

'Paul Furlong has been replaced at no9,as he has gone to the wrong ground'.

Sure enough. Paul thought we were playing at home that day, and turned up at Southbury Rd.

We had one Wade Falana playing for us during 97-8 and he was...how can I say, somewhat geographically challenged... We played Berkhamsted away in a league game and he turned up at Hemel Hempstead (but did come on as sub and scored a hat-trick!) and then a month later we were at Yeading in the FA Cup...you guessed right, ended up at Reading!!

Showing my age, a mate of mine booked a fortnight's holiday in West Germany in 1974 intending to see some World Cup games. Unfortunately he got the wrong fortnight.

Anyone see Dave mehmet a few years ago on the Live Tv channel.Playing the 'Joker' (dressed up in full Jesters costum).

The premise of the show was that every week two sunday league five-a-side teams would play eachother.Managed by 'celebrity' managers. Each had the option during various stages of the game, to play a 'Joker'.Which would involve Dave Mehmet playing for them (in full costume) for two minute bursts.Honestly!

I believe they are still being repeated on old reruns of the Live TV channel.
