Consistent Performers

Who have been the consistent performers this year so far and have adapted to the challenge of Ryman football?

I think the most consistent so far has been Dave Krayling. Although not the quickest, he rarely makes a mistake.

Also, Clyde Roberts seems to have an ever-lasting pair of lungs!!

For me there have been a number of players that have been consistant, which is not always good if they are consistantly bad!!

GOOD & CONSISTANT

Kreyling, Rugg, Dobbo, Roberts Davidson

NOT AS CONSISTANT BUT SHOW PROMISE

Wiseman, Edgar, Gordon, Bourne, Curran, Corbell

NEED TO SPEND SOME TIME REFLECTING

Jay, West, Blewer

Edgar could be the missing link if he gets arun!!

i'd say i'd agree Matt although i think a couple in the last catogory are simply not good enough for this level. Thats no disrespect, i'll back them until the cows come home if they out the effort in but i think its beginning to show after 10 0dd games.

have read this thread with interest, and have to ask if players such as west, blewer, corbell etc arent good enough - just who should replace them in the squad? we do not have the resources to bring in the type of players we need. our lads are (on the whole) young and very inexperienced.

we cant afford to bring someone in to help coach, so have to rely on john and Brits to sort things out. which i believe they will.

as for being consistent. before saturday it was "drop jay and bring in corbell" this week its "corbell needs to reflect".(whatever that means.)

perhaps some of you would care to pull on a yellow shirt and show us all how it should be done.

I don't think we need to 'bring in' too many replacements because what I've seen of our Reserves some of them, ie Holmes, Parker, Reade, Stewart, Okisor, Batch, are good enough to challenge for first team places.

No-one here has said Corbell needs time to reflect, I think over the course of the season so far, he's just pushed himself ahead of Lee Jay for the starting position, and well done to him for doing that. Some players don't act like that because they know their position isn't under threat due to either injuries or lack of strength in depth.

I think Kreyling and Dobbo have been superb so far this year.

I havent seen too many mistakes from Ricky either.

I thought Leon started the season really well up front then got dropped for no reason.

Clyde looked superb pre season on the wing and the sooner he is out there with his pace and dribbling skills the better.

Jay and Ruggy run there arses off up front but cant seem to get it in the back of the net often enough.

i agree kreyling has been our best player so far but i dont think you can put dobbo with him YET, his not had a bad game so far but for me he dont put 100% in every game, one week he will be ok and the next great you can tell when his putting 100% in when he runs back to help out instead of jogging his a great player but he can be far better when he supports us at the back aswell as up front!!!clyde has looked superb for me he never stops running he wants the ball to run with and if he loses it he wants it much more, to play with knocks which he has done is a great show of how much he wants it!!!!

You have to remember Dobbo has been out for 2 years with injuries.

As far as Clyde is concerned I'm not saying he is playing bad I just think he was far better on the wing where he can stretch his legs and use his pace a bit more.

There are also other players that started ok but silly mistakes let them down which is going to happen to a young team. Lets hope not for too much longer though <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Why would you say that, I personally think our current management team are doing a fantastic job good, honest, hardworking and comitted!

I am personally happy to "have to rely" on John and Brits.

I would choose them over any manager at this level, they know what they are doing and care about Canvey, you cant buy that.

I never said Corbell needs to reflect, read the post properly!!!
