does anyone know whether or not there is a bus that runs out of southend into Great Wakering. (if so what number / times etc) Dont really wanna drive as would prefer a few / 10 beers - but dunno how to get there via public transport

Yeah, or if it's easier the White Horse pub on Southchurch Avenue is the stop afterwards. I may catch that, depending on how early I can get out of work. I'm supposed to be there until 1515, which'll see me stuffed. I was thinking if I can get out at ten to, I'll be able to jump straight into a cab and get down there more or less for kick off. We'll see.

It's stop 'E' at the bus station. Here's the Arriva website, if you want it for timetables/maps etc.
